@EA, (RE: NFS Pro Street): Please, either return this franchise to its roots as a racing/police chase focused game, or rename these games and focus on fulfilling those needs in future Burnout Titles. Its hard to imagine spending any time playing this game when I could be using those precious gaming hours to play Burnout:Paradise. Please, somebody correct me if I'm missing anything, but if you're not interested in endlessly customizing the ultimate 4-c crotch rocket drifter is there any reason to play this game? I played both the first 2 underground games and was more than slightly underwhelmed.

Also, Dynasty Warriors 6 is probably gonna get bought....not this week though, next week after I get paid again :)

I'm picking up Dragon Quest Swords when it is released in Europe. Since I am a huge Dragon Quest fan and collector I will buy it regardless of wether it's good or not simply because it has Dragon Quest in the name, but I'm sure I will enjoy it since it seems like a fun game.

Why the hate for Dragon Quest swords guys? I heard from other people who played the Japanese version that it is more like 15 hours long and totally fantastic. If you expect it to be an rpg then you are going to find ourself disappointed but its not a bloody rpg. It is an on rails action game with leveling up and herb usage. I heard that the bosses can get pretty hard so its usually worth it to fight up to the boss and then go back to the town and heal before going through the area again and then fighting the boss in that run. That of course would make the game longer but if it is fun then there isn't anything wrong with that. I think some of the other shooters like ghost squad were only 4 hours long and i didn't see people complaining like someone was talking about their mom.

@MrBionic: The dash is what I was thinking would be the most difficult. It's hard enough to do a dash on PS2. It seems like it would be hard to move your left thumb up and down quickly when bending it back to use the higher stick, especially since you have to do both sticks at the same angle without them being parallel.

It's not that the Sixaxis is bad, it's just what you get used to. Both controller schemes make sense. For the Sixaxis, you get parallel controls, whereas the 360 controller you get the joystick in the same location as what a classic d-pad would be in. It's really more a matter of people being used to using the d-pad for the main controls before FPSs were popular that makes the 360 controller so comfortable for many people.

I didn't realize how much the 360 controller had spoiled me. In comparison, the Sixaxis is a pretty lame controller, and the PS3s interface is still feature light.

@DynoMite: They arrive overnight, retailers want to be the first one to have the game so they sell them before people can get them everywhere. It's not laziness, it's just, if you live near where a game is shipped from, overnight will often mean the same day, whereas most of the country it will be the next day. All the manufacturer can do is list they day they ship it out. Beats the heck out of street dates where you have to wait longer to buy it even though the retailer has it, like movies and music and such. I really hate when companies street date games, it's really all just to generate hype so stores can do midnight openings and whatnot, most games don't need midnight openings because they can be sold as they come in.

Now try working at GameStop and having to tell that to every customer who comes in on a game's ship date a hundred times that day(sometimes to the same people who came in for the last game they wanted on the ship date)and you might get an idea why some GameStop employees get a cranky disposition(not saying that justifies it, just saying you might understand it now). The movie Clerks is really not an exaggeration of how customers are, it's an understatement.

By RPG standards, and especially Dragon Quest standards, it takes longer to say Sword's full title than to play through it. It sounds enjoyable, but it's been released at the wrong price. It's eight hours will be well worth it when it's down to $20.

@Lemming To The Sea: Think about it man. As much fun I think the game could be, you're associating 8 hours with the name Dragon Quest. Maybe when it gets a little cheaper I'll pick it up. I'm sure it's a okay game, but gotta keep the money for other priorities, ya know?

I don't know about you but when I spend $50 on a game, particularly an RPG, I expect it to last just a bit longer than 8 hours. Sure, it could be a fun game but when I finish it and think about how I spent $50 for something that lasted me eight hours I feel like I got ripped off.
