As someone who hasn't played any God of War, possibly it's appropriate to the tone of the game as a trashy action run as well as being a running gag, and that's fine, whatever...but you'd have to be looking /real/ deeply to read any character development out of that.

By your statement, wouldn't it be pathetic to shoot guns in video games? we do have shooting ranges in real life for that. Unlike popping in "clamlappers gone wild" and being forced into an experience that was falsely advertised as something else, you know what your getting here and it's optional to participate or not.

In Xenogears, the characters Fei Fong Wong and Elhaym Van Houten had sex on board a ship in the game. No bare breasts or mini-game, but just as off-screen as this, and that was back in 1998. Sex should be present in videogames like anything else, it's all a matter of presentation.

I doubt anyone made any suggestions that RAD were "artists" or "brilliant writers" for having this sex scene, you are missing the point many people have already brought up. It is a RUNNING GAG of the series, not met to be intelligent or "funny" each time you see it. Also I think it is ironic you say it has nothing to do with movies yet you use an example of what if it was in a movie.

You, I think are completely correct in that assumption. It's what the series is about (stated above) but you don't like it, don't frickin' buy it. I think they nailed it on the heard from what I've seen of the gameplay and tone of the series.

Honestly, can you do better? I would really like to see what your version of a sex mini-game would be that would be so awe-inspiring, tasteful, and touch people's hearts in the GoW universe with Kratos.

Besides it's just a running joke with this particular series. Having God of War without a sex minigame is like having Doom without a BFG, or having Metal Gear without "magazines."
