I don't see any reason to cuss, in fact, recently I've been trying to stop and I still manage to only throw in one or two under my breath (but I firmly try to convert it to another word...), but I've never screamed it out loud or anything, when I cuss I try to do it the proper way... e.g. D*** meaning Eternal Damnation and whatnot, having to do with hell and your soul being damned.

"Shut the #@!$ up!" makes no sense, put it in literal terms, "Shut the sex up!" So like... what do you mean? "Shut the *!@# up!" also makes somewhat more sense, like the Devil left the gateway to hell open a little too long, but I hear more swearing in school than I would like to. I'm done with cussing and I feel great because of it, the English language has so many words, most people don't know any words bigger than B*****.

I found out I get less RAAAAGE when I play Deathmatch stuff, rather than your usual CS game. TF2 is less frustrating too.

But I dunno. I'm a pretty non-violent and calm person irl. Maybe I just use CSS to get my frustration out, my daily dose of rage.

Works for me. I usually get angry at myself, or at game lags and stuff like that. It's not like I'm going on a berserk shouting at people on the streets and such.

I've avoided a hundred players for going completely nuts over the headset, or engaging in some exploiting douchebaggery... but it only protects me. I'd love for the Ranked Matches to filter based on Rating too, so people with a reputation for that kind of behaviour got pushed down with all the other scum so they could all go completely nuts at each other.

It's by no means perfect, any more than an adults only zone would be, but if it prevents even one screaming swear monkey from being in the same game as me then it's worth it.

Seriously though, it's guys like the WoW Commander that annoy me more, especially in games like TF2. They take it too seriously and really put down people who might be playing for the first time ever. Go find a private server and play brutal high level games, this is a public. Live with it.

I did sign up for Gold Live because I did want to try out some of the games on MP mode, but I rarely use it, and don't feel like getting called a colorful array of racial slurs (get it? Colorful?) and sexual offensive gestures. I don't mind the occassional cuss at me in good humor (as I do a jab occassionally when I get hit and die right when I respawn in certain games), its not I'm an uptight prick, but I like to be entertained and not berated because I head shot a guy three times in a row each time he respawns, ya dig?

What ticked me off one time was a 12 year old spent the majority of the time cussing at my gamertag, which does draw some attention, I admit. I don't feel like paying 800 points to change it to "sephirothcloudmasterchief69696969696lulzpwnu", as I do like it quite a bit, it's unique. As for the cussy little brat, he was prompty kicked off, thanks to the much more appreciative and mature host, hats off to him.

Other than that, I'm more of a single player type gamer where I can do things at my own pace. Ever seen someone play MGS3 and wait in one spot for over 10 minutes observing guards' patrol route and not making a move until its totally coast clear? That's me.

I think a lot of that had to do with the high technical barriers to online play; the process of simply getting your client set up properly and selecting a server was sufficiently complex to weed out people who were immature, for the most part.
