As for pre-orders in the UK, you can do so at a bunch of places including Shopto.com, where it's going for (I kid you not), £150 (so about $300).

There's little to no reason why there couldn't be downloadable content on the Wii. I have a 4GB memory stick in my Wii and if the entirety of the ps2 version can fit on a CD then 4GB should be more than enough for a couple extra songs. Cutting the world tour or the DLC would keep my from buying the Wii version. I'll just stick to playing my friend's version of the game. This is me voting with my wallet. I'm tired of crippled PS2 ports.

sweet! I don't know for sure if I'd spend the money, but awesome all the same. However, a word of caution to this tale. Nintendo, please don't allow them to make the 'drumsticks' a pair of wiimotes. We can have that as an option (maybe to save $60 on the drums) but I can't imagine it working very well.

Man- I *really* hope that when they do this, you'll be able to download songs for it. I don't like paying more $ for more songs (couldn't they have included more to start with?) but if they didn't I'd feel cheated :P

My feeling is that they will delay that even beyond the european release date. My guess is that they simply can't produce enough controllers - which is a shame.

There are a lot of lists floating around the music game community of a Red Hot Chili Peppers pack in a few weeks, some stuff by Queen, an ACDC song, Powerman 5000, and a LOT of other stuff.

And from what I can gather, Who's Next is supposed to show up March 11th for 1200 MS Points.

@Saxboy: I don't hate GH3 really I don't, I think it's a good game for what it is, single player trying to beat your best high score. Something akin to the 80's arcades which I love. I will say though I think I would give Neversoft a B- on their first outing with it. I get a little bit of slow down with my star power and the difficulty curve at the end went from 0-60 faster than a Gizmondo executive.

Why all the GH3 hate? It's a good game minus some songs that aren't particularly fun, which is just the same as Rock Band. They're both good games. I'd especially recommend getting it if the GH controllers work with RB, as a Rock Band Guitar costs as much as freaking GH3 does with a guitar... almost.

PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD LET THE CONTROLS BE WIRELESS!!!

You can't imagine the tangle mess of cables we have to connect and people have to avoid when we are playing Rock Band in my friends house...that is my main concern in all honesty, that the controls are all wireless and not connected via USB.

Then I can worry about DLC and still waiting for the promise that GH III would have them after 'new years'...still waiting :(

Okay now I need a date, confirmation that the ION will be available for the Wii and the same DLC. I am very happy about this, but these questions worry me.

I think the GH3 guitar I have is the best so I want to get Rock Band on the Wii. Yet the ION drum kit and DLC make me think 360 is the way to go.

I cannot afford the 360 and Rock Band right now.
