It would be Godly if they added Queen-Bohemian Rhapsody. It would be fun if they added music of our current generation with more complex guitar such as mathrock genre's. Personally I would love to see Dance Gavin Dance their smooth transitions and melodic tones keep me listening. Mathrock genre I would look for Tera Melos

@edb87: Our bass pedals are breaking enough without Pantera. I always thought it'd be funny for them to release a Nile song. If you haven't heard Nile, it's incredibly fast speed death metal which basically has entire albums of constant double bass pedal going faster than you could ever possibly imagine.

Tool will be good for vocals and drumming, but the guitar parts (in real life at least) are pretty simple and repetitive, no matter how good they sound. Not to say I won't buy them if they put them out there, but that's my 2 cents on Tool in Rock Band.

I wish they would put some more well-rounded bands on the track listing that can be fun for all. Including bass. There have been few songs that have really incorporated good riffs for every instrument. Not meaning to say there haven't been any, but very few.

Agreed on Mastodon, Luke. I really want to hunt for Ogres and dwarves. (lion slicer!)
Any Iron Maiden is good, but their choices aren't very original. I would suggest The Prisoner, Be Quick or Be Dead, Die With Your Boots On, 2 Minutes To Midnight, The Trooper, Where Eagle Dare, Powerslave, Flight of Icarus, and my all tome favorite, Aces High. That's just off the top of my head.
Mastodon, TOOL, and Iron Maiden are really my only interests in any hard rock.

Granted, they aren't the well known singles like Closer and Head Like a Hole, but now you get a chance to hear stuff that isn't as prominently played.

It sucks that they have to censor it at all. It's music, it shouldn't affect the rating of the game. Set it so you need to be 18 to download explicit songs and be done with it. I don't understand why these systems even have parental controls when what we listen to and play is already being policed for us.

Also. Why are we hearing about what is coming in March and not February? Harmonix said they don't like to announce too far in the future because sheduling is tenuous. Yet March is nailed down?

I think they need a bit more METAL metal though. Sabbath is early proto-doom-metal (which I love, to be honest) but I think they need more thrash metal (not familiar with any of those bands in the thrash pack, so maybe that's it)

I'm just happy that the content keeps rolling out though. Unlike GH2 and GH3 where it seems to have stalled pretty badly.

i'd like a Soundgarden Badmotorfinger pack and some more off of Superunknown (because we all love 7/4 and 19/8 time, yeah?)... and some more Radiohead (never realised how much I liked My Iron Lung!) Paranoid Android would be great. Vocally difficult, lots of change ups... mmm.

I'll be picking up 2, maybe three songs in March: Message in a Bottle, Shooting Star (if the cover doesn't completely suck) and maybe a NiN song. I rather like NiN, but these aren't really on my radar. Then again, I used to hate Bite the Hand (seemed to be a bit too on the pop side) but now I rather enjoy it.

I do hope February has 1-2 albums (Nevermind and Who's Next would be perfect!) and more overall variety. And here's hoping The Colour and The Shape gets added eventually!

I'm happy to pretty much take whatever they're ready to dish out, I'm not picky when it comes to enjoying songs on Rock Band or GH. I'm playing songs I never thought I'd ever be able to bear listening to more than once, it's crazy.

And in regards to Metallica's "Fuel". I know it's not one of their biggest, most popular songs, but man do I love that song and I am SO glad that it's becoming part of the Rock Band library (especially glad it's coming to RB instead of GH because I love playing the drums and can't wait to drum "Fuel").

I do hope they throw up some more Metallica over the course of the months though. I heard Unforgiven on the radio the other day and even though it can be a bit slow sometimes, I still like that song and wouldn't mind drumming that song either.

Why the shit is there no Zeppelin yet either? I know they have rights issues and the like to work out, but why don't they just throw more money at them? Honestly - too much metal - this game has such a broad appeal and while I like metal - I don't follow it as closely as I did when I was a teen. I think a game like this people want stuff they know and can sing along with. Some metal yes - for those fans - but there are a lot of others out there that will read this list and between bands they don't know and deep tracks instead of hits (NIN) - this isn't going to make anyone all that excited.

@LoopyChew: I agree that Head Like a Hole would be an excellent choice (as would many other NiN songs please Harmonix :D :D) but Perfect Drug is a fine choice for the game. The guitar/bass parts are repetitive but vocals and drums should be excellent. Then again, the song is very synth-heavy, I kinda hope they move some of that over to the instruments available.

Come on admit it, judging by a post xmas stroll through williamsburg brooklyn and seeing all the rock band boxes in trash cans there are some people out there dying for more indie rock up on this shit.

I say more classic rock, but good classic rock. the 60s and 70s are way too underrepresented in this. Mid 90s rock is far too overrepresented and i say that as someone who was a teen then. Variety is what we need.

I have a sad feeling that rock band 2 is going to be the game i really wanted.

I'd have to admit I don't have a great grasp or knowledge of the tracks in Rock Band asides from the more commercial tracks from that 90's to now.

Rock Band is great and all.. But as a young professional whom doesn't have a great grasp of most of the music, catering to this more casual crowd of gamers looking for more pop music is great..

It'd be nostalgic and a great thing to do to keep things interesting for us.. I'd be looking for the more mainstream stuff for DLC.

I'm not a huge fan of either, but in terms of playability, music I am more familiar with serves a better purpose than music I am finding difficult to become accustomed too. Not sure if many others of you feel the same way.. But I'm certainly looking forward to more pussy-pop music from groups such as Third Eye Blind, Our Lady Peace, Green Day and such than more Black Sabbath, etc..

I say this with no disrespect to the classics.. Just merely a connection thing with the player, and I'm saying I'd feel more connected and would enjoy the game more with this stuff.

I believe the metal variety you speak of is the March 4 pack, At the Gates and the Haunted are personal favorites of mine. Never heard of Evile though, those songs are probably more metal than some would be used to.
