Me too. I think I just threw up in my mouth at the sight of it. *lol* They definitely should've gone for the kick ass Anime style artwork for the cover. I'm not trying to hear people complain the Wii is kiddy and using that cover as an example. You gotta laugh at the contrast though. Making out they're all friendly and kick it at the carnival whilst sitting on rainbows by day and then they bomb each into the ground by night.

Just got Metroid Prime 3 off ebay... Which I shouldn't have, because I was really pushing to buy No More Heroes. Still working on AssCreed and Uncharted. Not to mention having a ten page paper on "crown corporations vs privatization" to work on. No new games for me this week.

A bunch of us from the 2k forums used to play bomberman all the time while waiting for Bioshock, or got sick of playing Shadowrun, Rainbow Six Vegas, Gears, or whatever game we were playing. Heck, a group of friends and I would be playing bomberman for 3 hours a night. It was a great time.

I will admit I haven't played in a while though.

@Mr. Fap☆Fap!: no shit? bomberman: generation was a great one for gamecube, as far as the classic multiplayer goes, and can prolly be had for a song these days, id imagine.

@ceilingFANBOY: got shrinkage: Beats me, I've only ever played the first couple on roms. And I actually really liked the singleplayer... though without save states I would have gone insane.

Probably not really my kind of game, but if you still have youthful lightning reflexes it's bliss.

@kidnicky: Hopefully they've been going easy on the minigame collections since they've been shown that motion controls can be something other than a gimmick.

Does the Wii version have ANY regular Bomberman gameplay? I'm probably in the minority here since I like Mario Party 8,but I'm not going to buy ANOTHER Hudson mini game collection so soon. From the videos I saw,this Bomberman thing looked exactly like the MP8 minigames,just with different,less appealing characters.

I bought it for the multiplayer. The single player was acutally pretty decent but got old pretty fast. The classic mode rocked though, 2 screens with bomberman? Kick ass. Though, the first Touch! game was good enough for me. I'm sure the sequel doesn't anything much different than the last game. As for the Wii/PSP game - bleh.

I never really got into Bomberman, despite all the iterations thrown out every so often, and what I've been told is a stellar XBLA rendition. Looks like more Advance Wars DoR for me on the road this week, and Skies of Arcadia at home.

I've found quite the opposite. Of course that might be that I was playing it on the wii VC with a house full of people. When you have a range of ages from 9 to well, lets just say I am rather older than most of the people here, all laughing and joking, how can you hate this game?
We even had some Chinese friends who had never played a computer game in their lives joining in.
Was the first DS bomberman any good?

I guess it means the games are still good. Lightning-speed explosive online multiplayer good.

Why did they pick such similar names for the series Bomberman Land Touch and Bomberman Land? It just seems like poor creativity on the part of the people choosing title names.
