George Noory is an idiot and should be DJing a program for Glenn Miller-era big band music, taking requests from Betty and Gertrude, calling straight from the makeshift 'ballroom' of their retirement home.

All it takes is for Art Bell to do one of his increasingly rare guest shots (or even Ian Punnett) for the show he made famous to see just how impossibly BAD and insipid Noory is.

This call, by the way, did make me chuckle. I had to wonder at a couple points if George's producer or screener didn't know what was up and somehow communicate to George the source (rimshot) material. To be fair, Noory would've played along with a pretty decent poker face. Thousands of hours of talking to crazy, fat fortysomething women with their twelve Zodiac cats knocking over dreamcatchers and incense candles and fake crystal skulls in the background will do that to you.

I love Coast To Coast AM. It lulls me to sleep most nights. And some of the best parts of the show are the crank callers, becuase there's SO many of them! I mean, when you do a show about the paranormal and UFO's and shit, anyone can essentially say anything they want or make up any story they want.

George Noory just seems like a genuinely nice guy, so sometimes it's painful to sit and listen to him being taken for a ride.

However, this could be the beginning of an awesome trend of video-game related calls to CTCAM that appear on Kotaku! I will be listening tonight!

I think it's a bit presumptuous to say the host "totally fell for it".
