I mean sure there was no music, no save support, no cheat support to warp levels (dnscotty anyone?), and some sound effects were high pitched, making Duke sound... well, hilarious...

...but it was all worth it, as it was my favorite PSP game... once I set the controls correctly.

I would very much love to get my hands on this. However, my launch 360 FINALLY red-ringed, so as long as I get it back before this launches, I'll be a happy camper.

Doom, for me anyways, has been, and still is, the best XBLA game yet. The sheer joy of tearing through my nostalgia over Live with 3 buddies was a huge blast.

But still, as others have stated, this does NOT atone for Goldeneye being canned! DEAR GOD WHY?! Goldeneye over Live could almost be equated to pure nirvana! WHY?!

I really want this downloaded to the psp through PSN. I know a homebrew version exists, but it sounds like it was a bit buggy.

MS should have a way to have Windows Mobile games playable through XBL and downloadable to Windows Mobile devices. Build that lifestyle path! You know you wanna.

It would be very cool to have more games (that aren't PS1 games) that can be played on ps3 and ported to psp. Everyday Shooter would be my first nomination, as some of the others might be a bit to graphic intensive to port easily or sixaxis dependent.

if anything a slow PC would i no way would be able to run that ;)
High res texturse and 3D models, but of cours those can be turned off to enjoy the 2D goodness

That would be awesome. If GoldenEye 007 was never released for the XBLA(hopefully it will be) and Duke Nukem 3D was released for the XBLA, I'd be satisfied.

Duke Nukem 3D is one of my all-time favorite first-person shooters. I've spent so many hours playing that game and want to play it again, but my computer isn't slow enough to even run it. So being ported to the XBLA may be everyones chance to play the legendary classic fps again!

@FrigidAir44: The thing that was great about Goldeneye was it was like a mini LAN party, but only needing one machine and 1 monitor. My friends and I would play little variants, like giving everyone the least health possible and pistols only settings. Yes, it wasn't quake, but it was fun!

I loved this game when I was a kid, especially the strippers :P

But I fail to see this being something exciting year 2008, as much as doom 1 or 2 would be. It is old, the nostalgia would cost 10dollars and last 10seconds.

FPS is one of those genres to me where old just doesn't=classic.
