When I went in 2000, it was one of the best times I ever had.

When I went last year, I couldn't wait to get out of there.

This show has gotten too goddamn crowded. I don't see how you could pack any more people in there. It's impossible to actually play any of the games. You basically have to pick one that you really want to play and then get in line and stand there all day long.

The press (ie. Kotaku) don't notice this because it's different on the business days. The public days have become a nightmare.

It doesn't help that the Makuhari Messe has a really poor air conditioning system, and September in Japan is like July in most of the United States. It'll help moving it to October, but it's *still* pretty hot in October.

I can only hope that Summer 2008 in Japan is both shorter and less humid than Summer 2007 which lasted well past the start of Fall and had me running my A/C as late as October. I wonder if there's any chance of KoF XII being at this year's show? Last year it was nothing but an advertising banner.
