I played this game for about 10 minutes. I picked a male wolf as well. The game took forever to load the graphics, which is sad because my computer can load much higher frame rates and memory game usage.

The wolf is really bad at turning and running where I want it to. I was able to kill a hare, but it took forever to align the wolf to eat it. AND my goal was to find another wolf mate but I couldn't find a single wolf anywhere after wandering around for almost an hour. I beat up some coyotes however.

Non the less, I think it's a great unique game. I want to play more games where you control an actual animal and hunt around, sort of like this. But more in the range and fun of Okami.

This game is cute for what its trying to do (teach kids about wolves :P), I'm just sorry it has a horrible camera/movement controls.

Had to lower the graphics to medium though, my 8800gts just couldn't handle the wide open spaces and a few trees on high.

Think of it a little bit more positively, people. I did not download the game, as it seems to be horrible but... It's not really intended to be a game, you know. It's a project to, quoting a Kotaku post, "teach wolf behavior and ecology through gameplay". It's at least a step towards learning through simulations. Even if it's a hell of a small step.

I think it'd be way easier for kids to learn physics through a game/engine like Source than the 'traditional' means.

I think the real goal of this game was to see how many serious gamers would try it out out of pure curiosity, unwittingly unleashing their inner furry-ness. Even now, those unfortunate souls that booted this game have an impurity in their souls, eating away at the goodness that once lived there. Someday, maybe not soon, but someday, you'll wake up and have the irresistible urge to wear a fursuit, then get on the Internet and post pictures of Disney-esque looking animals engaging in lurid, carnal sin.

Or you'll just uninstall this game after 10 minutes.

Okay, so found a "trick" When making your character, put the 3rd bar to the top, middle bar in the middle and first bar on the left, to the bottom. Then slide the left bar up to the top, and it should let it go. In the end you can have max strenght, speed and medium stamina.

Works online too...

Best/worst part of the demo for me: while howling, you can move around while the howl animation plays and the wolf just slides over the terrain until he's done howling - then he begins his run animation.
