I dunno though. Psychological addiction is different to physical addiction, sure. But does the former still have withdrawal symptoms? (Serious question, cos I don't know)

I know there actually are a few game addiction clinics. I saw one in Holland (I think) on TV and China also has those services available. Mostly MMO players though, not hot topics like GTA or Manhunt, because GTA/Manhunt/etc don't use addictive game design like MMOs do (being they don't use a pay-to-play business model).

What's up, clowns? I'm the seller of this eBay charity auction. Two people that I know personally already posted in this thread validating its legitimacy (see CaptLtrl and Ytmnd Matt Neski !!!11), you can choose to believe them if you wish. I got this signed at the VGXPO back in August 2007 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Mr. Thompson signed it willingly, and believe it or not, he's actually a decent guy.

As my auction states, I don't want to sell this, hence the extremely high BIN price. I'm just using it to win a contest on Gamesniped. I have it listed for charity so it doesn't look like I'm selling Jack's signature for my own personal profits (which I would NEVER do). It makes me look like a good guy when really I'm an asshole. When the contest is over I will end the auction. Meanwhile sites like Kotaku, Gamepolitics, Fark, and literally DOZENS of others are blogging about it. You're all getting worked up over it. The joke's on you!

Another thing: My credit card is on file with eBay. If somebody actually buys this (unlikely), then my card will automatically be charged $4000 as soon as the BIN button is pressed. I'd be re-imbursed the $4000 as soon as payment is sent (which would be immediately because I have it set up that way). That's the way charity auctions are done on eBay. There is no other way. So stop thinking that I'm gonna take the $4000 and run. How fucking selfish do you think I am?

Which isn't something I have a problem with, because I've always suspected that his intentions have been, above all, to gain attention for himself.
