I like Fl0w but it's already been done on my PC :P Much better, sure, but then again.... I had much more fun with EDS...

I'd vote for Warhawk if I could, but since I can't it has to go to Everyday Shooter. The art/music direction is so much fun, and the gameplay is easy but extremely satisfying when you're maneuvering around hundreds of objects.

@2NinjasTapedTogether: PAIN is right out for me if only because it costs 10 freaking bucks, has no content at all, expects me to pay additional money to get rid of the error messages, and still puts freaking ads everywhere possible. Geeez. They might as well have used Pink Floyd's "Money" as the soundtrack to the game.

@StocDred: I played through that game twice. It's not as bad as people make it out to be; it's only crappy if you compare it to the PSP version, and hence to what people were expecting of it.

From the other two, I have to go with Super Stardust HD. Everyday Shooter is kinda cool, but I never really got the hype it received. I guess my expectations may have been too high after reading all the acclaim the game got.

@dalejrfanfreak: Super Stardust is frantic. And fun! But for some, there's a little bit of transcendence when playing Everyday Shooter. Some dig the trippy graphics, the more laid-back pace, and the way the player interacts with music. And that's why people are picking it. Not just because they haven't played something you think is better. And, more than likely, they've played both.

@crunk: It didn't stand a chance simply because it was so indecisive.
It was a great Ps3 game, but not one of the top 3.
And it was a Ps3 game first, not DLC, so it got itself left out of that.
If it had been released solely as a PSN game, it probably would have won.

As an owner of all three games, I'd say SSHD. fl0w is way to short, and isn't truely a game, rather an experience. EDS is awesome, except for the fact that withing all the ruckus and blasting and bursting, I get lost and can't find my "ship". SSHD is a little bit better, so that's why I picked it. Damn close race between the two, though.

BTW, where's Calling All Cars? I'd probably chose CaC if it was a nominee.

Super Stardust HD takes the prize. Incredibly polished gameplay, presentation, and balance that always entertains. A varied and exciting experience.

I recognize Everyday Shooter as being innovatative, in an anti-art kinda way, but for me... eh. IMHO, it's ugly and repetititve.

I'm not sure if Warhawk qualifies as a pure PSN offering since it was also available at retail.

I would put Warhawk then SSHD then EDS then Tekken.

I would buy that Tekken is also on PSP so it wouldn't count if their is consistency. But since Every Extended Extra is on the the XBLA list, both games are based of PSP games.

Tekken DA was released in 06' but the Online version was this year. maybe since it is really just an update it isn't considered a 07 release.

This one's not even close; SSDHD came around during the drought, god bless it, and we needed some geometry wars-esque love, so i was greatful.

flOw was a cool experience, one that i only revisit when really drunk, but im glad its there.

but ES owns, that was crazy awesome. its like uh, r-type meets rez? im uncertain, but im glad this site put me onto that one, best $ i spent on PSN, hands down. here's to having half that much fun in '08 with ehcnodrome.
