I have work in 10 mins an I was up until 4:30 playng DBZ ; Whatever 3 with my brother..

That game is such a great fighing game on the Wii. I see that the cut the Story mode down alot but the gameplayis so much better then the DBZ: BK2.

I would say that this isn't something to joke about. Every time a game company closes it means fewer games, less competition for the remaining companies and more unemployed game makers.

@kingclip: You know, people were saying the exact same thing in 1993. Well, guess what?

The companies come and go. The original Nolan Bushnell incarnation, Warner Brothers, JTS, Hasbro, Infogrames. But the Atari name and logo just will not die.

@kingclip: Hey, they still have 12 years to come back, right?

This has to rank as one of the worst squanderings of a major brand, well ever, right up there with AOL, Saturn, SNK, etc. Atari is still synonymous with a certain era of gaming to nearly everybody, and could still be resurrected at some point, but its probably best to let it die for now.

Yeah, Activision should buy these guys up and fix the damned online in Tenkaichi 3. I just got it for Christmas and it is hands down the worst online ever seen... ever. Like, imagine unplugging your computer from your modem and then trying to log onto WoW. Wait, that's not a good example because typing in your password is the most entertaining part of WoW. Seriously though, plug your 360s ethernet cable into a bowl of gelatin and play DoA4... DBZBT3's online is SLIGHTLY slower than that...

I loved Tenkaichi 3, but man, Atari just needs to call it quits. How about they call Activision? I'm sure they would take them in because we all know that they had some good history together (the "old" Atari at least.)

When I was in GameStop a few days ago, I saw an Atari game on the shelves I hadn't noticed before.

The game? Jenga World Tour, for the DS.

The fact that they thought that Jenga would make a good video game tells me all I need to know about the direction the company's heading in.
