The only director-type game producer worth anything is Hideo Kojima--mostly because he's so subtle and adept at breaking the "fourth wall". Otherwise, dev celebrity all comes from gameplay, about which I doubt Jerry Bruckheimer knows a damned thing.

Mixed feelings. On the one hand, he does make good, popcorn fodder films. And there is definitely room for games that don't try to be revolutionary, just fun. On the other, people should stick with what they know. We don't need another big celebrity thinking games are simply another area for him to play around in. Does this make sense?

MTV aren't getting into publishing to milk their own properties. They're getting into publishing to be a competitive publisher. They're looking way beyond "The Hills", and more at stuff like this, which will be original content.
