I'm always nervous about video game movies. But, if/when they get finished, I think we might actually -enjoy- watching Halo and Prince of Persia.

Say what you want, Bruckheimer's the man. I've never really disliked a movie his name was attached to.

This is the big problem with game-movies -- They're all about name recognition and usually have very little to do with the actual game they're based on.

But somehow, I don't think PoP is the best game to make a movie out of if you're going to stick close to the subject material.

Newell is actually a really great director which is the only reason why I don't expect this to suck serious ass.

9th century? Eh. Would make all the mechanical traps and such make a little more sense. I think. Still plenty old and mysterious.

Of course, despite being set in Persia the cast will be as Caucasian as ever. Cept maybe for the bad guys.
