I adored the first one, the one on the Wii had wonky controls. This one, I agree, has way too many rainbows and explosions of hearts and flowers. The celebration music is like someone did an overlay at least six times of the old celebration music and just mashed them on top of each other. Then recorded it. When she said "Great! You gave it your best effort!" the first time, I had to get a silver just to hear her say it again. "ef-fort" gets me every time!

I'm not sure if the game was worth the 30$ I paid for it, but I do wish it would've been 20$ like the first title. 50$ for the Wii one was bad enough.

Maybe the third one will be even BETTER. "Cooking Mama Sree! More Dinnair wiss Friens!"

I loved the first one and I love the sequel. <3 I especially enjoyed the fact that it had far more recipes... and that you gained friends by cooking tasty food. If you can't cook? You have no friends. D:

Also, I have been playing (on and off now, since I unlocked everything) to get gold medals in all the recipes. Must attain.. perfection...!

It's always the smiling ones that commit the mas murders. Chefs are especially dangerous what with the tools at their disposal (i.e. knives, ovens and dare I say it, Turkey basters) Oh the humanity.

You get all the stars and it unlocks a mode where Mama turkey bastes everybody in the most gruesome way possible.

makes me hungry every time i play it, plus the recipes don't work, i need a cooking mama style timer to show me when i should turn down the heat/flip it/mash it.

"turfic! eva betta the mama" I got sick of hearing that after each step, myself. That and the multiple repetitions of tones at the end of the recipe. Why must it play the same annoying sound effect two to three times in a row? While this one is "better", the style of the old one was much, much easier to digest.

I bought the first in the series but didn't get drawn in by the compulsion to get every recipe... but I did like the cuteness factor. If only it also made real food for me too... a man can dream can't he?

Good to know that this game's longer. I really enjoyed the first while it lasted... which was about 3 days with zero replay value. Still planning on waiting to hear more about this one, but I'll probably pick it up against my better judgment anyway.
