]]> <![CDATA[Master Chief Arrives Early]]> The last time I saw a costume this good was on a guy dressed as one of the xenomorphs from Alien on Halloween. He had the whole body kit and everything, and stalked up and down sidewalks freaking out people. It was hilarious.

That said, this is a hell of a costume. Even though I'm not a particular fan of this franchise, I know excellent craftsmanship when I see it.

Oh yeah, then 10 minutes before they open the store, they break up the lines into two. One for everyone for pre-ordered at the mall, and one for everyone who pre-ordered at this store. Luckily I was with the mall crowd, which meant that my new line only had 10 people, as opposed to 100.

@kuromankuro: Yes, I stopped by the Atlanta Best Buy to laugh at people since we had errands to run at home depot next door and the master chief there was pretty retarded looking. Costume looked cheap, he looked to be about 5'4 and he didn't even have a rifle. I was also surprised at the turnout. There were only about ten people in the line and most of them were between the ages of 15 and 19.

Although many have shown a great deal of talent molding the armor, I'm waiting for the guy that can make the understuff and the connections, look realistic. Maybe make a neoprene skin suit, and then worry about molding the plates.

maybe thats why we dont see many snake costumes, they are skin tight, and the material has to look plausible. Its more of a concern about materials, than simply molding some plates and painting them.
