However, would I not be correct in saying that his games tend to use (mostly non-preredered) cutscenes to tell story? Sorry, after playing Bioshock, I have to conclude that while video games can provide for a better experience than novels for text-based stuff (read: visual novels), video games tend to make poorer films than films. They can excel one thing however: using gameplay to tell a story better than film or words alone can. That said, I could be wrong about MGS, but I'm just basing this off of my understanding about the game.

Regardless, I don't like the fact that Kojima acts like he drinks a lot of Sony Kool-Aid

I have a Wii and 3 DS, and guess what? Me and my friends have a lot of fun playing them. When I play Panel de Pon or Taiko no Tatsujin on my DS, I dont care what "generation" it is, I care that it's fun to play. And I've put hours at a time into local multiplayer Mario Kart, not the 10 minutes you're suggesting..

As for the Wii, just like the GCN before it, it has the best local multiplayer, especially if you have friends who are non-gamers.

And already we've seen some great single-player games on Wii like SPM, RE4, MP3, etc

The DS I can understand, as it's a handheld and meant for 10 minute casual gaming from casual folk who could really care less about gaming, but need to fill leisure time riding subways or in carpools on their way to work. The Wii? I won't even get into how much I despise that console. Anyway, outside of the next Silent Hill (which I think looks great), Konami should rename themselves DSWII. I was going to add a "Con" before the "DS," but the DS has proven itself as a semi-fun last-last-gen console for last-last-gen gamers, so I censored myself. I do think "next-gen" gaming should be "next-gen" -- even from Nintendo. And that's probably why I'm a PS3360 gamer.
