the trance vibrator is such a simple device, it even has a linux kernel driver FFS. my purchase will be based 100% on if it supports the vibrator; the legendary game girl advance article convinced me to import the japanese version and get a trance vibrator and it was soooo worthwhile. the vibrator is cool because it compliments the rumble instead of just mirroring it. highly recommended for parties ;)

I wanted to make a joke about Rez on the PS3 and the release of a future sixaxis with rumble, but it just wouldn't come out right.

I also wanted to make a trance vibrator comment, but I was beaten to it, so I vote that they enable feedback on ALL controllers currently connected to a 360. That way the whole family can enjoy!

In any case, I hope it does move to the PS3 eventually, because this game should be played by humanity as a whole.

Yeah, I've played it with headphones, but don't think the 5.1 matters unless they upgrade the music to use it, and that means either getting the old music upgraded by some magic or whole new levels for new music. I'm a little surround sound hater, so don't mind me. About the only thing I know where surround sound works are FPS games, other than that, waste of effort and distracts from the experience. That goes especially for movies. In REZ I can really see it working if they make it work, but if they just drive stereo music out of 5.1, it's not even worth mentioning.

I'm going to buy a 360 for this ALONE.

And for the record, I owned the Dreamcast and PS2 versions, and the Dreamcast version wins. Thought the PS2 version is 60fps, it's not always constant, and the resolution is lower. Also, the Dreamcast version looks godly played over VGA, and the sound is overall better. Did anyone else know that the Dreamcast's sound chip was more powerful than the PS2's? Yeah, me neither. Rez is the proof.

But 5.1? Pwnage.

And I'm so excited by this, I don't even care how lame I sound using words like "pwnage."

But it doesn't need to do, as long as more people buy it there might be another one coming. That game is a masterpiece.

@TheIrishNinja: Double that and you are correct. I transferred mine to PS2 USB HDD at one point when I thought it would save me the hassle of changing discs every time I want to play something, turned out to be useless. Anyways, it was something like 400-500MB, CD game regardless.

2) It needs the trance vibrator.

@darkowl: I don't think that Microsoft is really enforcing that limit anymore, provided your game isn't filled with FMV or any other unnecessary things that take up space. Certainly not for games as high-profile (relatively) as Rez and Ikaruga. With their recent moves towards considering the hard drive a required part for the development process, I don't think they'll really have a serious problem with the size constraints of these games.
