@minikikers: The sales are really consistent for 360 too and trust me, they're not experiencing shortages. Consistency is probably because it's averaged over a large population.

@Gamemaster: If Japan 'hated' Twilight Princess, it's pretty impressive that it sold ~600k copies there... (Making it either the third or fourth most popular Wii game so far, after Wii Sports and Play and possibly Mario Party 8.) I think it'd be more accurate to say that Japan isn't quite as crazy about Zelda games as the US and Europe are.

Id say play the PSP one if you got one, since its easier to learn controls than the PS2 controls. Or if you can try waiting for Monster Hunter Freedom 2 for the PSP. Its great, and really improved on a lot of areas over the first one on the PSP.

If you are curious to see what its all about, look up on youtube, lots of vids there.

If they did though, I can imagine Oblivion will sell more copies, since I personally know a lot of people who want to play the game but are a little unwilling to take the dive with the current pricing for just one game atm. But if there is a price drop, I think it might help push those off the fence and all.

Once MH3 comes out its gonna be a shitstorm of purchases for the PS3. I mean just look at how MHP2 saved the PSPs ass with insane sales in both the game and hardware.

Truthfully, it's a very interesting figure, especially since it's more or less consistent. While I know vgchartz isn't considered the most reputable source, all indications from that site are that the Wii has finally managed to surpass the Xbox 360's worldwide sales.

Which, when you compare the Wii's nine month sale time to the Xbox 360's twenty-one month sale time, is pretty fucking impressive. Pretty really fucking impressive.

Whereas with these charts they sold 21,720 which is a slight improvement to the tune of 399 more units sold. Over a period of time Sony's sales are showing consistent signs of improvement, yes. This is a positive trend indeed. No, nobody expects 50,000 per week out of Sony, though you may have a point, maybe I expect too much out of Sony this early in the game.

It's been much easier recently to get a DS Lite and a Wii over here. Amazon Japan consistently has Wii systems in stock and DSes are usually available in most shops, just not all colors in stock at once. It's quite different from how it was just a couple of months ago: I hadn't even SEEN a Wii in a store before until early July. o_O

21,000 sold in a week is pretty much the same as last week for ps3, it shows that PS3 can hold steady, a slight improvement. I wonder when they'll finally wake up to the fact it's not only the games but also the price that's holding them back.
