my guild had that exact combination of people! the mother with kids, the brash youth, the mature guy, the hot asian... well no hot asian.

anywyas, its bringing back many WoW memories. not just playing the game, but hanging out in vent with my WoW friends.

also the acting and camera work are great in the vid. i suspect this will be an instant hit series.

it's good, despite the problems of watching it on YT, (i.e. the inaudible guild daddy, and not being a fan of the the lonelygirl15 'diary' intro),

everything else works, the crazy guild 'family', general ennui and desperate litany of stereotypes,etc. (i get the joke, but ehh... enough).

Well, ok, i liked it despite myself not actually wanting to at the beginning, very you-tube-amaterish to begin with, but it gets going really quickly, the second ep will be absolutely goregous to behold.

when it comes out.

i suppose like melrose place's first episode, getting over the setup means you'll just get the drama from now on, in 2-3 min excerpts. and its something i'd watch just as much as i'd watch RvB, perhaps more so for the wierd factor than the comedy, if the comedy runs dry, goes on holiday, whatever.

there'd be some great material to parody for the rest of the series, i.e. "last time on the guild", "next time", "last week", "that time we hit kara", "the guild is not like TV reality", "just how sexy is DKP?", "remember that time someone's house was on fire during the raid" hijinks, as well as online-gamer lore such as penny arcade, RvB, etc.

in short: potential. lots and lots of phat l3wt and/or potential

This is a great show, wouldn't mind it moving away from WoW influenced ideas in the future, sure it's a good start but it's bound to get dull after a while.

Great show Felicia, some good sight gags (baby chewing the adapter, lol) I look forward to episode two.

I loved WOW for a time, but left after I started to feel the grind at about lvl 40. Had some very memorable experiences playing it though and loved my brief 6 months in Azeroth.

The WoW is pretty addictive, it's true. I play at what I would consider to be healthy levels now, down from wasting most of my days in game. From what I've seen, though, it's not so much the people who spend all day every day playing that should quit (though they totally should if they find the game interfering with real life), but the people who really aren't having fun anymore. That's the biggest sign of a problem, in my opinion, that you hate it yet you can't stop yourself from playing. Of course, sometimes these two overlap in a sad Venn Diagram of MMO addiction.

Also Zabu or however that's supposed to be spelled is delightfully creepy. "I painted these myself. You know, crafting..."
