I think you mean "all characters between SF1 and SFA2", not just the New Challengers. Alpha 3 and SFIII are the only SF games that do not feature entirely stereotyped characters.

I don't agree with that statement one bit. I know plenty of people online that do not like achievements. People also post regularly about how they don't care about them. The only people that truly care about them are xbox-diehards who play nothing but xbox systems.

The biggest factor for me is that not a single person I know cares about them. This probably has to do with my age though. I'm 24 and I hang out with people anywhere from 22-31 years old. Most of us don't have too much time to play games...so achievements aren't very important to us.

"Old School Arcade Master"--Get a 25 match winning streak in XBL without once beating the single player game.

"Local Champ": Win 15 two-player matches (not on XBL) in a row.

"A Challenger Approaches": Challenge and defeat a player with at least double your win/loss ratio and at least 25 more completed matches than you.

"A Hard Days Night": Get one perfect each in XBL with four different characters within a 24 hour period.

"American Splendor": Beat the single player game with any North or South American character (Ken, Guile, Blanka, T. Hawk, Dee-Jay, Blanka) without losing a match.

"Nippon-Ichi": Beat the game with any Japanese character (Ryu, E. Honda, Akuma).

"World Warrior": Beat the game with any character not from the Americas or Japan (Vega, Zangief, M. Bison, Fei Long, Chun Li, Cammy, Dhalsim, Sagat).

"Boss Hog" get at least three perfects on XBL using only boss characters (Bison, Balrog, Vega, Sagat, Akuma).

"Carpel Tunnel Free": Get a perfect using any character with a repetetive button move (Chun Li, Blanka, E Honda etc.) while not using that move.

BTW: I'm also against the idea of achievements--if you don't like your games enough to play them on their own, you probably aren't playing good games.

Thats cool. I got no problem with that. People seem to either love em or hate em. Those that love achievements, state pretty much those exact reasons. Personally I have a large gaming collection and I don't get to spend all that much time on one title. The only time I spend extra time on a game is if I absolutely love it. Otherwise I move onto something new pretty quickly.

I also own a PS3, but I would never get the 360 version of a game unless the PS3 version was absolutely terrible. I waited an extra 9 months or so to play Rainbow Six Vegas. Why you ask? Because I refuse to spend $100 on a Wi-Fi adapter and I also refuse to pay for an online service. If I want online mulitplayer I have to get the PS3 version. I wish the 360 had built in Wi-Fi because I would have more games for it, but right now I get all my mulitplatform titles on the PS3.

On a side note...achievements are complete and utter crap. I still can't believe that those things became popular. Personally I can't play games with a laundry list of things to do...just to add to my gamerscore. I can think of plenty more productive ways to waste my time.

Maybe Microsoft should have tested its system a little more instead of worrying about such a crummy feature. Maybe then we wouldn't have Kotaku polls about how many people have had 360's break on them.
