Actually, it's just the factory. You can see the full map here.

And you can lead only one mudokon at a time, like in the first game.
This was called "Part 1", but Part 2 probably never came to be.

hmm. Did they really get the whole game in the port?

I'd imagine it'd go over several disks or tapes. However that about the moments in the game where you have to have 4 chasing and also have enemies on the screen at the same time. I'd be amazed if they got the spectrum to pull off that many large sprites

@Rukusa: Sadly, they "no longer make games". They're focused on things such as tv shows and movies now. Lorne Lanning really lost the spirit to continue his series through video games after Strangers Wrath bombed. Its sad cause it was supposedly good but it NEVER got advertised. He felt the profits/costs weren't worth the trouble I guess.

Now that I watch the video again, It does remind me of the first stage in the first one a bit. My memory is better with Exodus, because I never owned the first one. Thanks though. :D

You may notice that these "official" ports actually look less like the original PC/PS game. Notably, Abe himself is much uglier.

Very very cool! Kudos to those Russians. They did a nice job there!

I had the rival Amstrad CPC 6128K, which had a disc drive and 26 colours! I programmed a couple of really crap games by copying down 3 or 4 pages of code from magazines, can't imagine how much coding went into this for those 2 guys so cheers to you!

Yeah - I was a Spectrum owner - you'd not manage to get those graphics looking any better on that system. Pretty amazing work - love to know what the original makers think of it (and I mean the creative ones, not the legal drones).

I still own my ZX SPectrum+ (in fact is is being repaired right now). I will definitely download it (if only I can find it, any idea where to look for it?) and try it.

Just recently I have been writing on my blog about ZX Spectrum's 25th anniversary ( http://bartsnews.blogspot.com/2007/04/happy-birthsday-spec... ) and it really brings tears to my eyes that someone still gives the machine some love.

It looks far worse than the actual game. But, then again, I couldn't develop it. So, er ... Yay for the effort!

Now I feel guilty. If the guys behind this are reading, I'd like you to know that really, I couldn't develop this game. Then again, I couldn't develop Pac-Man, so I can't decide whether or not I'm complementing or criticizing your work.

Either way, Abe RULES! And his Odyssey is probably the most underrated series ever created.
