Ok, so if this is the real Jack Thompson, I would like to hear specific examples. Being a debater myself, I give in to no position without clear evidence.

How are we prime examples? How am I a prime example? What exactly did WE do to be called examples? Be more specific. Stating something without backup DOES NOT WORK. You are a HORRIBLE DEBATER, and you fail at convincing anyone about anything.

As I've stated earlier, I volunteer at a hospitals on weekends. Is it clear that I'm a punk because I help discharging patients. That I make sure that documents are delivered to the correct place? That IV's get to doctors so that they don't have to walk all around the building and waste time? Ask patients how they're doing as I deliver a newspaper to them? Package pamphlets and brochures so that patients and family have an idea of what's going on? Delivering blood?

I've listed the things I do IN ONE INSTANCE: VOLUNTEER WORK.

What have you done for this world so far, Jack? Make claims without evidence? Annoy the hell out of an entire population? Waste time and money of innocent companies?

Say all violent video games were magically eradicated off the planet. That won't end teen violence. It may possibly make it worse. Video games are a way to release stress and tension. From what I see and hear, violence is caused by everyday stress, not video games, music, or television. You said back in 2000, that "In every school shooting, we find that kids who pull the trigger are video gamers." Thats not surprising. According to ESA, 69% of American head of households play video games. You can't assume video games make you violent. You don't have any scientific evidence. Have you read the bible? Of course you have. You know the bible is a pretty violent book. That doesn't mean you're going to start shooting people. Now, you also said video games are a sort of murder simulator. A click of a mouse and a pull of a trigger is two completely different things, Mr. Thompson. How about paint ball? That probably be closer to kill training than any video game. Your goal is to shoot your opponents with a gun. And as your opponent is felled by a hail of bullets, you feel good. About aiming at a target, pulling a trigger, and shooting your opponent. But it doesn't matter. You know its a game, and in the end you know the difference from right and wrong.

Have you ever played a video game Mr. Thompson? You should try. Its not all bad. It might even reinforce your image as a wise and intelligent lawyer. Even if you don't like it, after all, "know your enemy."

I have yet to hear a logical argument from Jack. Please give us one. No action, just words. 5-paragraph format please. Reading what you just said made me think and I've noticed something. Anyone else notice how jack keeps attacking kotaku in rage and what almost seems like violent behavior, but yet he doesn't play video games? We, the gamers, respond with calm and rational posts (most of us anyways) while jack threatens and pushes his rage upon us. Does this mean that you don't need to be a video gamer to show violent behavior or rage against someone or something you hate? Thought so. You see jack, playing video games helps us relieve stress brought on by life, its our way to coop with stress, anger, and frustration. This can be said about most hobbies. Does hunting make you a serial killer because you use a gun? No. So why does it with video games? At least what we are shooting are virtual, not something that lives. If you're going to blame video games for "training" kids on doing these killings, then maybe you should concider how much everything else is the same. With that being said, I don't think that if Jack Thompson actually snapped he'd gun down people. But I do think he's completely capable of feeling out of control due to the white hot anger that is so clearly evident in so much of what he does. Because of this unleashed angst, he clearly feels vulnerable to violent video games, and believes others do, too. I do think the man is a media whore, but I also think he truly believes he is doing good. And, of course, this is an endless cycle. The media pats him on the back and his disillusionment of grandeur grows. Jack is good. Jack is great. Jack is a bully with a law degree.

Someone needs to take Jack down a notch, if that's even a possibility. Can you take down a megalomaniac? I liked when he said an FBI guy told him that they could tell the Red Lake shooter's (?) heart rate was under 60 by looking at the security camera footage.

A) There's no way you could possibly tell that from grainy security camera footage.

B) If his heart rate were truly below 60 when doing anything more than sitting in a chair, much less walking through a school and firing a gun, then he's some kind of super athlete and must have been running on a treadmill the entire time he was training to be a cold blooded killer by playing Contra.

C) Suppose he really was able to keep his heart rate that low, and suppose we've entered an odd parallel universe where this really was due to TRAINING BY PLAYING VIDEO GAMES, so what? Would he not have been able to shoot if his heart rate had been 90?
