one of the most enjoyable puzzle games evah..

I'm happy their redo'n the graphics for HD widesreens... that something that's bugged me since day one when downloading some of the classics (castlevania, TMNT). Having to stare at the annoying, grainy sidebar artwork the entire time.. like a constant reminder i should be playing something easier on the eyes...

I love this game to death. I'm glad to hear that they're balancing out the characters...though, honestly, I don't like the new look. This is one game I prefer to have in it's original form. The 3D explosive graphics look fake and thrown in, where as the original crashing effect looked perfect. Hopefully you can go back to the original game, like you can with most XBL games, but that's yet to be seen.

I've been trying to find a copy of Puzzle Fighter for ages. I'm very glad to see that this is going to be released. The only reason I bothered to buy the Alpha Anthology was because I was told by the store rep that it contained Puzzle Fighter... The Street Fighter Alpha 3 on the disc is far inferior to the PSX version.

Here's hoping they take this the extra mile and add some extra characters. It wouldn't take much work to add in some SF3 characters and it'd be an interesting switch to use Yun or Ibuki.

im starting to get biased on the whole XBLA thing with all the paperboy and the bland shooters coming out. Sure there are always speculation on Rez & Ikaruga but it was about time that we get real quality games like SOTN being ported to XBL. now if they can only add MVC2 & SF anniversary to the compatibility list so we get a real capcom fighting fix.

Wow what a great suprise! I had to play Puzzle Kombat on Mortal Kombat: Deception ever since I don't have my ps1 copy of SPFIIT anymore.

What a treat what a treat. The cherry on top would be, if we will be able to play other peeps via xbox live for endless ocean of competition.

The title IS a parody. This was the only Puzzle Fighter game made, so the "Super II Turbo" was always a joke. The HD Remix is just icing.

In other news, glad to see new life for a brilliant game, but it doesn't look like I'll be playing it much. Because Puzzle Fighter ONLY uses color to distinguish its pieces, I (being colorblind) can't distinguish between yellow and green breakers accurately enough to play. I was hoping we'd see some shape-distinction thrown in (or more radically different shades for the yellow and green), but it looks like that isn't to be.

Damn, those explosions are beautiful. Additionally, it looks like the gems have an elemental factor to them now when they explode: blue is water, red is lava rocks? and yellow looks like sand... I'm totally buying this.

I hate Puzzles but put them in the xlive and they are gold...well not really but throw in street fighter and you got a winner.I like more puzzle kombat but this also cool.

The best Puzzle game would be a mix of super puzzle fighter,luminies,some sort of touch screen,badass music and rpg elements like puzzle quest.

Wow, this game was so much fun! Good to see they are making a HD remake. It reminded me of the Pokemon puzzle game for GBC, except this one had Street Fighter characters which made it better.

Will the graphical upgrade help people with partial colorblindness? My husband wants to love this game, but the PS and GBA versions are very difficult for him since he can't distinguish yellow/green.

Please, game publishers. Take a cue from Puzzle Quest. Add symbols to your colors or make them VERY distinct. Partial CB is a lot more common than discussed.

This is awesome news. A few minutes after it was posted up, David Sirlin who is the backbone of this project linked a few of us hardcore fighting game fans to his page. Sirlin is pretty well known in the fighting game community, he helps run the evolution fighting game tournament (www.evo2k.com) and has written a book thats considered to be the street fighter bible! So I'm sure this won't get the street fighter 2 HF treatment. If anything it'll be close to arcade perfect. :)

Wow, one of the best puzzle games ever, and it's coming to XBLA just randomly and out of the blue, AND it's going to have upgraded art and high def? This is great news.

I wonder if they'll still keep Akuma, Dan, Devilot and especially Anita as secret characters. I also wonder if they're going to include the cutscenes from 'Fighter II X. They were hilarious.
