So what you're saying is, you don't know how to play mahjong? Normal play is kind of like gin rummy. In Hawaii, gin rummy is often played with backasswards scoring (you score the cards you play, and the highest score wins), which I assume is because that's how mahjong is played. The hard part is all the special rules/hands, but I don't think you need to know those to play the game.
