I wonder if the new guncon will work properly with Highdef TV, I had a lot of trouble back in the PS2 days trying to get the official guncon to work with my SONY TV... no luck there.

*yawn* Namco is better off making a FPS with a Time Crisis feel than just porting this. Although all TC games need a port at some point. The price tag is $90 because the game will clearly be $60 so the $30 is for the gun. As a CAGer... I'll wait for the inevitable clearnce.

Why would I buy this "port" of a game in every arcade in the area, when the arcade version kills all others...

Hmm, I could take my $90 and buy one, boring port of it, or go to the arcade and use the $90 to buy 360 quarters and go buy one dollar game, then use 50 cent continues for 178 times... Ya, btw I can beat it on about 2-4 dollars so your talking about

A. Buying a ridiculously short/expensive port of a cheap easy arcade game
or
B. Being able to to go to the arcade and use my $90 to play it and beat it ~22.5 times with not only me, but a real random person

I'd like to know how they plan to make the gun work for this, unless they expect everyone to plug their PS3 into an old-school TV to play. Maybe the high price tag is because they're designed a gun for HDTVs?

I do have a light gun that I bought from Lik-Sang before Sony sued them out of business (fuck you Sony!) and it has 2 sensor bars just like the Wii to measure where you're aiming but it just doesn't work very well at all, and given how similarly it works to the Wii's pointing I have to question if the Wii pointing will be any good for light gun games too. Basically my light gun doesn't really map to where you're pointing on screen but to the sensor bars so if you change stance or step to the left or right a bit you have to start aiming to the left or right of things to hit them.

Personally I really want an arcade perfect remake of the first, it's still my favourite TC game.

I dunno about Wii. If you've ever sighted down your Wiimote, you notice it isn't actually accurate. It isn't designed to be accurate (it doesn't even know the size of your TV), since you don't sight down it. It could maybe be accurate with some calibration though.

I dunno about you guys, I'm kind of over Wii. I'll buy most of the N-original games for it, but why would I play this game on Wii when I can play it in HD?

Honestly, I wonder if I can stand far enough from my TV to make a gun game make sense. I'll be sweeping my arms in a 30 degree arc to shoot stuff. We'll just have to see.

An HDTV gun eh? Does it use sixaxis technology? Blue tooth? Sensors like the wii?

I know they make light guns that work with HDTV's (there not light guns then....)

What I do hope for, is that the gun has force feedback since Sony is putting it back into their system... for those who didn't know, Gran Turismo HD 2.0 was released which features force feedback support now since SONY and Immersion patched things up.

I also would hope they would now have guns that no longer create the light gun flicker.... that would be a dream!
