Doesn't seem absolutely crazy when you think about it. Buy 2 additional core systems for 5 or $600 bucks on line. Instead of using 40" plasma tvs buy 2 or 3 22 inch LDC pc monitors for say $1,500.00. This seems comparable to the cost of a high end DX10 enabled PC gaming rig.

I find paying $3000 to play a car simulator to be a dumb waste of money. That could buy you one really big HDTV. That could buy you a great dolby system. That could buy you the best gaming rig and two monitors. Any of those options are better than this. Waste of development.

I'm not a racing sim fan myself, but I could see a small subgroup of people taking it very seriously. It's akin to buying the cockpit for flight sims - some people are willing to pay for that immersion experience.

This is extremely cool, and I would love to have a setup like this, but I think they are just wasting time and money by implementing this.

I mean seriously, how many people out there are have 5 360's and 5 HDTV's?

I absolutely love the idea honestly, especially if I have to turn around and look at two monitors behind me to see behind my car. But I can't even afford a 360 or HDTV right now.

I recon 5 is a pretty odd number though, 4 would be enough.

You need one Xbox 360 per screen, you connect them all through the system link feature. You can have up to 8 screens connected at once. This was talked about on 1UP.

There will be that ONE guy who does this, so that's at least 7-8 Xbox 360's and the racing wheel sold for Microsoft.

It's setups like this that make me beg the question: When the hell are they gonna invent borderless monitors? At the very least, get rid of it on the left and right sides so setups like this don't look so crappy.

I think half the reason they do stuff like that is just so they can have it set up in the office and not have to pay for it themselves. If I had that opportunity I sure as hell would.
