Yeah...there's a huge community for Halo fan fiction. People have written novels (that are worth of publishing) on Bungie.net's forums. HBO (Halo.Bungie.Org) though, is the number one site for its fan fiction. Basically, like what Bob said, just read the books.

You dont know many people then. You just need to look in the right places online to find millions of people who like Halo purely for the 'mythology' as you put it.

Read the novels and you'll see why.

This is so weird. I have met many fans of the Halo game, but I haven't encountered a single person that's a fan of the 'mythology' of the game, or obsessed to the point of collecting figurines.
