I remember these commercials. I was about 4 or 5 then and my brother had it for Intellivision. That game used to fill me with anxiety, probably because of the commercials. Those hot dogs were the stuff that nightmares are made of.

It's all about "Deadly Dogs" the easter egg in BurgerTime for intellivision which sets you in Discs of Tron but with the hotdogs from BT.

"The 1982 television commercial for Intellivision's Burgertime is still memorable to old school gamers. In particular, the end of the commercial where the giant hot dog character (an actor in a hot dog suit) slams the door of the drive-through window in the face of an innocent couple while screaming "We are closed...Now!" A year later, during the videogame crash of 1983 and the impending closing of Intellivision's doors, this catchphrase became a running gag with soon to be out of work Intellivision employees."

I was never big on Burger Time. My favorite games of the golden era were Gyruss and Spy Hunter. This commercial would have sold me on it at the age of 8 though.

Mario is named (according to the live action movie, the live action show and maybe a few other places) Mario Mario, which makes Luigi's name Luigi Mario *sighs* Yeah, I know, poor Luigi...

Also Wolverine is James Howlett, not that it matters.

man, i haven't heard the name intellivision in like forever!!

i could never figure out the remote controller. i remember playing biplanes and b17 bomber with the voice synthesiser!! i was like 6 or 7.

then Nintendo came along with this Mario bros thing.

so am i to believe that Mario is his first name and his last? what is he wolverine or something?

Awesome! I remember this commercial, it was my first Meme. My mom and i used to say the line "We are Cloooosed now!" to each other all the time, to great comedic effect.

I actually remember the first commercial. Also, I love the part were it mentions Aquarius. LOL!

I love Burger Time. I played the Intellivision version as a little girl, and it still remains my favorite version.
