Cheese restaurants (meaning the ones that had the stage with the animatronic creatures above/arcade games/stuff to ride/guy in giant Chuck E. Cheese costume walking around/plastic ball pits to jump in) were probably my favorite place to go as a kid. And those on-stage robots were so delightfully creepy when the show wasn't going on...everything was dark, but occasionally a bear wearing a tuxedo or rat wearing a fedora would suddenly snap to life, look around, and then close its eyes again.
