And the PS3 has been confirmed by Sony to have free online play? They said free matchmaking at E3, but you can't USE the free matchmaking unless you can play online, which hasn't been confirmed to be free. If it really was free, then I think they wouldn't be so vague about the subject. They'd just release a press release proving that all online play is free and stop the doublespeak.

Makes the system more attracitve especially during xmas time. Once the Wii comes out, that will occupy most of my dwindling free time. If MS wants to get me, they better get a good bundle out before the Wii hits. Otherwise, I will be content to wait a couple of years for the PS3 to become much cheaper, for the software to demonstrate which system is better as a back-up to the Wii, or to see which console will "win" the battle of the best console not made by Nintendo.

While everyone figured that the bundle would debut at $399, I have only seen it for $489 or $499. Even if it drops to $400, I still do not see this as a magical pricepoint. I will be avoiding the 360 until I can get a non-gimped one at $300 with wifi. If this never materializes, I will likely never get one, especially considering how little I have used my XBox compared to my PS2 and Gamecube.
