When Video Game Artists Get To Redesign Comic Book Superheroes

If you read comics, it must be like getting the keys to the candy store. "Hey, artist, do you and your team want put your stamp on some of the most iconic heroes on the planet?"

The answer would probably be yes. And the results, at least in this case, are surprisingly good.

The pieces here are the work of Marco Nelor, for the out-this-week fighting game Injustice, and for the most part they are fantastic.

Each character is instantly recognisable, but each has enough of a trademark design element to identify them as part of this game, and not something from a movie or comic.

You can see more of Marco's work at his personal site (thanks CAW!)

To see the larger pics in all their glory (or, if they’re big enough, so you can save them as wallpaper), click on the “expand” button in the bottom-right corner.

Fine Art is a celebration of the work of video game artists, showcasing the best of both their professional and personal portfolios. If you're in the business and have some concept, environment, promotional or character art you'd like to share, drop us a line!
