Welcome To The Humble Indie StoreS

The Humble Bundle has long been the best value in gaming, and things are about to get even less humble with the debut of the new Humble storefront. Humble has been letting indies use their checkout system for a while now, so it's no surprise that they're formalizing the whole thing into a browsable experience. We expect prices here to be in line with competing sales from Steam, but Humble takes a smaller cut, and gives 10% to charity.

Lifehacker just did a great write-up of alternatives to Steam when it comes to saving on digital games, and we're certainly not complaining about the addition of another compelling option. We also love the very clear denotation of which DRM is on each game and which platforms the games are compatible with.

You can expect to see coverage of of the Humble Store's best deals in our Kotaku Deals roundup starting tomorrow.
