Oh dear. You've gone and done it, Sega. You've gone and done the one thing you needed to do to get us interested in Samba De Amigo again. You brought in a Space Channel Stage, with an Ulala cameo. Ulala and monkeys and (simulated) maracas? It's like a Dreamcast reunion party. You know how to get a man mildly excited, Sega. Oh, along with the Space Channel news, they also released the final tracklist for the game, which you can find after the jump. More »

We've been hearing rumblings about a Space Channel 5 appearance on the Wii, bringing Tetsuya Mizuguchi and United Game Artists' rhythm game born on the Dreamcast back into the limelight. The only problem with those rumblings are the sources. Joke threads on 2ch, the never-reliable Magic Box, and something in German that we couldn't make out. Sega? They aren't talking, outside of telling IGN the rumors had no validity. While that sounds like a fine outright denial, we just can't shake the feeling that Mizuguchi is hiding something, being very cagey about a Space Channel 5 update. More »

Sega Superstar Tennis Debut Trailer

Move over Mario and friends, you aren't the only collection of characters that can have a sports game. Sonic and friends are taking to the court in a new tennis game entitled Sega Superstar Tennis. While sports games don't really intrigue me, I do like the collection of characters they've gathered for this game like Nights (from NiGHTS), Amigo (Samba De Amigo) and my personal favorite, Space Channel 5's Ulala. Of course Sonic and Dr. Eggman are on hand as well because after all, what would a Sega title be without Sonic. But this trailer really begs the question: Who would win in a tennis match, team Mario or team Sonic? More »

Upon looking over the games I've been playing lately, I realized that quite a number of rhythm games have been creeping their way into my collection. Ouendan!, DDR (I'm trying to shed a few pounds, so sue me), Guitar Hero 1 & 2, Donkey Konga, Space Channel 5. Now, these are definitely not games I play all the time, but I like them because they provide a great counterpoint to the often long winded games I love to play like Twilight Princess and Final Fantasy III. After wandering around the same part of the game map for an hour or two trying to level up, it's somewhat of a relief to take a break and pound out the beats on a couple of Ouendan! songs. They are quick (but not easy!) and can be played for a little while and then put down without fear of forgetting what side quest you were on when you saved last. More »

Kotaku sister site Idolator reports that former Deee-Lite singer Lady Miss Kier (a.k.a.
