The most recent sales data from the NPD Group is missing a key retailer, reports GameDaily, as Toys R Us data was not factored into October's monthly sales charts. Martin Zagorsek VP at The NPD Group told GameDaily that "we typically add a few retailers and lose one or two" and defends the company's results, adding "overall our market coverage has not changed very much compared to last year." Angry fanboys are getting younger and younger these days. Fun Tech Talk is reporting that a thirteen year old South Carolina boy was picked up by Toys R Us security after it was discovered that he had written "PS3 Sucks" on twenty three plastic PS3 game security cases with indelible marker. The boy's parents couldn't be reached so he was put in the custody of child services (scary). When asked why he did it, the boy answered, "I have an Xbox and I hate Playstation. The notorious Cheapy D brings even more proof that the rumored Xbox 360 price drop is indeed for real. Yesterday he had a Wal-mart ad showing the cut and now he has procured another (blurry) photo of an ad showing the 360 being priced at $349. This time the ad is from Toys R Us stating a "price break" and slated for an August 12 street date. As more and more information comes in it's becoming more difficult to brand this one as rumor, but of course without an official word from Microsoft on the subject it will have to remain as such. The rumor mill is at it again and this time it's promising a windfall of Wiis! Joystiq is reporting that Wii's will be available tomorrow at Toys R Us and will appear in TRU's weekly ad. Commenters to the article included some Wal-Mart employees who claim that the elusive system will also be available at their stores.
