Top Gear - the ridiculously popular BBC motoring/entertainment show - have tested the realism of online racing sim iRacing by taking one of its highest ranking players, Greger Huttu of Finland, and letting him drive a Star Mazda racer around the Road Atlanta raceway in Georgia to see if his digital prowess can transfer over to real life.
With no track experience in real life outside of iRacing, having never sat in a race car in his entire life, over 15 laps Greger manages to put in lap times just 3 seconds shy of what would be considered good for an experienced race car driver.
