When Model Kits Become Art

Boutique company Mano Models don't do massive runs of statues that appear on comic store shelves worldwide. They don't sponsor booths at Comic-Con, and don't fight for the license to the latest summer blockbuster. They're just five dudes, fans and artists hanging out and making awesome scratch-built model kits.

While some of the works you're seeing here are from properties like Predator and Studio Ghibli, the coolest are the studio's take on the Journey to the West (ie, Monkey).

Oh, I should add, these aren't one-offs. They're available for sale, albeit most of them unpainted.
