Zombie Vs. Ambulance: "No."]]>

Over at game site Gamasutra Brandon Sheffield has a neat interview with D3 Publisher's Alison Quirion. About a year ago, the company established an American arm of the company. Lots of nice info peppered through the interview, so do head over there and read through the whole thing. Here's what caught my eye:

  • Earth Defense Force X is coming to the US as Earth Defense Force 2017 (as previously reported). Price point: Quirion says, "I don't think we've settled on it. They're not going out at $59, but I'm not sure if we're going to go $49 or $39."
  • The company does intend to bring Onechanbara VorteX to the US.
  • There are no plans to bring Zombies Vs. Ambulance to America. Like ever. And America is less wonderful for that.

Anyhoo, swing by, check out the piece and tell 'em Kotaku sent cha.

<![CDATA[New Dead Rising Screens Gnaw Flesh]]>

At Kotaku, we love one thing more than games: zombies. So by default, any game with half-deads immediately has our interest. And a photo-journalism zombie game? We are so there.

Capcom's Dead Rising puts players in the role of Frank West, a journo investigating an incident in Colorado (aka "Crecente-land"). Something goes wrong, and Frank is trapped in a shopping center. With zombies. Yes!!! It's as though Capcom asked us what kinda game we'd most like to play and then made it.

Hit the jump for new brain-eating screens (via IT Media) that shed a little light on the game's story.

<![CDATA[Zombies Vs. Ambulance]]>

From the 'Worst of E3' department, leave it to the denizens of Kentia Hall to make a game called Ambulance Vs. Zombies look this boring. How designers this incompetent could somehow light upon the greatest idea for a video game in the history of... hell, let's just say it... the universe and then mess it up this bad is beyond me. - Florian Eckhardt
