To other coments - It's easy and cowardly to throw slurs and name calling because someone's opinion is simply different than yours.
Instead of redoing voices for western audiences, simply using english subtitles will save time and production costs for an international release. Releasing the game on one console instead of two does the same. By releasing on PS3 only more content can also be added due to the high capacity blu ray disc that the 360 lacks. Why go with the lowest common denominator when the game could be so much more. #squareenix

I don't see the reason why SE should bend to the wills of a small loud minority on the internet that frankly...hasn't proven themselves at all accept on forums and conventions. And as it stands, the convention circuit is filled to the brim with KH fangirls. They have the most money....
None of SE releases in English dub have suffered in sales. And as far as SE are concerned, they don't CARE.
There's this myth going around that Japanese dubs are ALWAYS better then English dubs and it's not always true. I've heard some shitty ass JP VAing in my hardcore anime days.
Reaching alot more customers? No, it wouldn't, I'll give you...2000 more, but as I said. It's not enough to justify SE doing it, you really have to factor in what fans are SE aiming for? 2000 hardcore fans or 1,000000 not so much hardcore fans? Who gets the oil for their squeaky wheel?
Now perhaps, in the future because of this wanting Japanese dub hitting SE's ear...that MAYBE they'll place the option in the game. But as it stands, SE Western releases will be English dubbed.

never said they are allways better and and i am not new to that anime stuff, also i just understand half of that what they are talking if its too fast or mumbling what ever. maybe you see it from a native english speaking point of view but in europe there ain't a lot of games talking (used to) english than in the US and UK(ireland), so they dont care what they are talking about. back in the old days no one cared about voice acting because there was none and most of the games were english anyways. now i am going(its more running) straight to thirty so i think "back then we didnt have this option, now its there why not japanese ? it sounds better"if thats the case. i wouldnt like to play DMC in japanese ^-^. its just about choice and using given opportunities. if they would have included i would use it, someone other could stick to english. since i am learning step by step japanese and just know 50-60 kanji and 100 words doesnt put me in a position to rival the endboss *laughs*

I feel so ashamed. SE can fix this by casting him as a voice in Versus. Hell, if we could just drop XIII and SE sped up Versus I would be happy frankly because XIII looks.....yeah. :cough:

Well, SE went all 'Screw you PS3 owners' and started giving the sweet sticky icky to 360 owners.
Unfortunately, the sticky icky was REALLY icky. Last Remnant was SUPPOSE to be a multiplatform RPG for the world (it said that in the bloody trailer!) then 360 got timed exclusivity, then it was released on the PC....then....nothing.
The other two games were Star Ocean IV and Infinite Undiscovery...both were balls apparently (as I only have a PS3 so I really don't know...).
Everything else SE has released has been on the DS/PSP and those for the most part were win sauce. It was their Current Gen games that were lacking.
So this 'promise'...I'm a little wary of. #squareenix

People really only play the game for the brutal stat-grinding metagame. Incidentally, said metagame is almost the only way to beat the game with little to no frustration. Caveat emptor. #squareenix

It's not frustrating if you know what the purpose of "Battle Rank" is, and have a game plan, and by game plan, I mean FOLLOWING THE DIRECTIONS HERE PERFECTLY.
The game's pretty cool once you figure out the actual mechanics, but the moment it "clicks", you will feel like warm poo because you'll realize that earlier, you could've done some things better, and there might be consequences for not doing it right. #squareenix

AH! I see, I'm interested in branching out of my comfort zone with JRPGs, I don't care much for WRPGs...but games like TRL and Demon Souls sound about right.
Most of the bad things I've heard about TLR are about the graphical glitches and stuff...I didn't hear much about the gameplay being godawful.
Maybe...one day SE will decide to port it over...maybe.

The last I heard was 2/10/2010 on the Gamestop page. I could be wrong.
My hope is that WKC comes out BEFORE XIII. XIII is doomsday for any other JRPG (or RPGs in general) on consoles.
A JRPG needs to be release before or after XIII but not in the same month. It's suicide. #squareenix

And yes, any RPG needs to be released before XIII comes out. I would even say they can't release RPGs for a good two months AFTER it has been released. Everyone is going to just compare it to the behemoth of the title, for better or worse. #squareenix

I can't believe I'm gonna buy 3 games in March. I never do that. People are actually gonna have to start saving money now if they hope to afford all the great titles next year.
I mean come on, we have GoW 3 and FFXIII, both of which have been talked about since the launch of the PS3, a new FF MMO that sounds VERY promising, a WoW expansion, Starcraft 2 and probably other huge crap I can't think of right now...
It's going to be insane. It will be interesting to see what sells and what suffers as people ration their money so they can buy their favorites. FF13 will definitely be the top RPG, you're right there. I hope the WoW expansion doesn't kill the western audience for FF14 before it can even get out the door, though.

When The Burning Crusade expansion was released for WoW I made a belf rogue (male blood elves are voiced by Cam) and started stalking people. When they'd ask me what the fuck I was doing I'd /yell "I AM YOUR SHADOW".
And the "I LIVE ON THROUGH THIS ARM!" joke would pop up every time we'd go against yet another boss voiced by Clarke.
