Rumors have it that similar stores may soon be arriving for Sony and Nintendo.

Customers purchase the games for cash, not Microsoft points, and then receive a download code which they have to enter into their Xbox 360 to download the game. You can also send the code to a friend as a gift.

The service also allows people to purchase subscription cards for Xbox Live and Microsoft Points to use on the Xbox 360 for purchasing games, shows and movies.

We've been hearing rumblings for months now that a similar service might be coming for Nintendo's Wii and DSi and perhaps Sony's Playstation 3 and Playstation Portable.

Reached for comment this morning, Amazon said they "don't comment on future plans."

<![CDATA[XNA Games Showing Up On Xbox Live]]> Several readers have emailed us to let us know that two games have appeared on Xbox Live under the XNA Creator's Club banner. A space shooter called Net Rumble and a letters game called Netters are both available for download as we speak, as I just verified, in both free demo and full versions priced at 100 Microsoft Points a pop. Unfortunately we've also verified that the two titles seem unplayable to the average users, with XNA Creator's Club launcher errors popping up even if you have the program installed. I suppose I'll just let them sit there on my hard disk until I figure out what to do with them. Lovely.

Thanks to both DerrickDS and Lucas for pointing out the new additions!

<![CDATA[360 Expands Its Music Video Line-Up with BMG]]>

A perhaps slightly overlooked feature of this fall's Xbox 360 update is the fact that Microsoft is now selling Sony BMG music videos on Live for 160 points a pop. The download-to-own videos will be hitting Canada later this month with a different launch lineup.

The first wave of videos hitting the U.S. features 40 videos from a diverse sampling of artists including Chris Brown, OutKast, Michael Jackson and Foo Fighters.

I was already on the line about buying videos through the 360, so I'm not so sure I'm up for music videos on the system. But then again I don't really watch many music videos these days. Hit the jump for the full list of vids now available.
