Gaming over a wifi network makes me shudder. I opted for the 50ft Ethernet cable and just ran it along the wall under the carpet from the living room to the bedroom.

The only exception is the Wii since I refuse to buy an Ethernet dongle and the actual MP the unit gets is minimal. #madcatz

@Taggart6: I don't always drink beer, but when I do...: Gaming over 802.11b sucks. It's really not as bad as everyone says though on a G or N network though.

If you got the option to run wires threw your house, it's a worth while idea. You might as well higher someone to run them threw the walls though. #madcatz

This just basically plugs into your Ethernet port and tricks the machine into thinking that you have a direct wired connection.

WOW! The haters are out. Loving all the comments on "Boo, 6 hour sp = ripoff." Yet no one seems to bitch about the 5-6 hour sp in MW2. @FatherFingers: Well, I think the difference is that ODST only offered the campaign as new content, (multiplayer was just all of Halo 3's on 1 disk), where MW2's multiplayer is the meat of the game.

Plus the co-op modes adds up, gives the game a better perceived value. Honestly, if one had never played Halo 3 multiplayer, the value would be on par.

But I agree, it is funny how people see value. Myself, for instance, won't think twice about buying a game I think will be mediocre in retail if it's in the $15 range, I consider that a risk free purchase.

On XBLA, however, I carefully consider my purchases, especially if it's 1200 points. #halo3odst

@Opuelas: I'm guessing that has a bit to do with it. Being able to hold a physical copy gives a greater sense of ownership. Also, with me, I think it's my expectations. When I'm in the store, I'm looking to buy. Also, I'm programmed that a disk based game is expensive, so relatively $15 isn't bad. I think I also expect a more 'full' experience, whatever that means.

With XBLA/PSN, I expect the games to be more time wasters than anything, even though this is increasingly untrue. Also consider that on XBLA, $15 isn't actually $15, you're usually left with residue points, which is just extra money tied up.

It's a big gray area, this moving concept of what makes something 'worth' it. #halo3odst

Why would Microsoft's pride be hurt, MW2 sold the most on the 360.

Also, others have already pointed out that MW2 is on three different platforms while ODST is exclusive to one.

Furthermore, three million sold copies is a solid number. Every GOTY contender this year aside from MW2 won't be sniffing that until the end of next year.

But I thought this game was a ripoff. It definitely should have been priced lower.

But hey, MS sold 3 million copies at a high price and they knew they could all along. Selling 5 million copies at $30 rather than $60 would have still brought in less revenue. #halo3odst
