    Fantastic story, and would have been an amazing movie. But to experience it in a game was something special as well.

    i was dissapointed with this game,big time,but played through to the end for the Story....but can't say the story stood out that much for it to be getting awards

    Neither is Rockstar I believe. The SWTFU was fun but the dialogue was corny as it can be and crapped on Star Wars lore.

    bleh i forgot that GTA4 got GOTY from kotaku. I think i just threw up in my mouth. GTA4 = my most disappointing GOTY.


    Anyway the story in FU was fantastic and i actually want a movie out of it.

    @ZetaCrossfire: Considering Crecente's other 2008 "best story" nominations were for Gears of War 2 and Left 4 Dead, Grand Theft Auto IV comes out looking like Shawshank Redemption stuck in that bunch.

    Fallout 3 flat out crushed every games story last year. The main story was kind of stupid, but the subplots were great.

    Well, I believe it has to do with the fact that the writer must be in either of the guilds nad must be credited as such in the game. That narrows the list quite a bit.

    Mm. Sort of in the same way the writers on Independence War never got a "real award" for raising the level of writing in games to an actual standard.

    For my money, SW:TFU was the best writing of last year. Maybe I'm not playing the right games though.

    People were telling me, despite the Force Unleashed's disappointing problems with controls, bug etc, that it had excellent lore and story.

    @Dr.Chocobo: i hear that it wouldve been better had lucas arts made the force unleashed the movie as opposed to clone wars it wouldve been an overall better idea. i agree.
