    I am getting more impressed with the new Palm Pre, which it's OS supposedly beats out iPhone.

    Bah. No new controls, no new purchase. Apples crazy man, if they released an iphone/ipod touch with physical buttons and a dpad, they'd be at next years wwdc with a slide saying 100 million sold.

    Seriously, what are they waiting for?

    Also, how much faster is this thing than the ipod touch 2g? That thing is already faster than 36 iphones and it has 32g capacity.

    Kotaku sure has a lot of Apple-related posts. Somebody better be getting paid for this advertising.

    @InternetsUser: Like it or not, the iPhone is a gaming platform too and we cover all of them. Six posts out of 70 on the day of WWDC doesn't seem high to me.

    I can't justify the purchase of an iphone. The unit itself is an acceptable price. The Monthly fees though, make it not worth owning in my mind.

    Apple calls it "the most powerful, fastest iPhone we've ever made."

    I'm hardly going to sign a nasty, long-term contract with a phone company I don't really respect to play games on an iPhone.

    It's just not my thing ... congrats to those who were looking forward to this, though.

    I don't see anything gaming centric about it, all it got was a bump in clockspeed for its CPU and GPU big deal.

    It's still just an iPhone.

    @Brian Crecente:

    I would say being centered around gaming would be more gaming centric. This is just a more powerful iPhone. If my grandmother buys a new computer to replace an old one, is she buying a "gaming centric PC" just because it has more power?

    @Brian Crecente: For me it would need to be friendlier to things like FFagitoXIII, Monster Hunter, and MGS: Peace Walker. The iPod Touch/Phone and its apps really aren't my cup of tea for the most part which is sad since someone should be able to belt out a real awesome strategy rpg like Ogres Tactics or even just FFTA2.
