    Y'know, for all the haters out there, I think the Wii version looks pretty good considering what they have to work with.

    No, really. Sure, its missing some rain and looks a little blockier, but the spirit of the game seems to remain intact. And considering my first Call of Duty 4 experience was on an SDTV, I can't say it looks THAT much different than what I played through before. #callofdutymodernwarfare

    Fair punishment, not to mention the video of them has made its rounds on the Internet, so embarrassment and retraining for playing a Wii on the job appears just. I mean, it would be an entirely different story if some of them thought it'd be a good idea during a shootout or actually restraining criminals. It was looking for evidence and like most people at their jobs do, they goofed off for a while.

    I dunno, I've never had it in me to hate cops. Especially considering today a cop chose to pick the speeder in front of me instead of, well, my own speeding butt. #crime

    Weren't 2 or 3 of them the undercover cops who had risked their lives to infiltrate said drug ring to make the raid happen in the first place?

    I think they earned their wii break and a slap on the wrist...

    @omgwtflolbbqbye: It doesn't look very professional, but I'm with you on this. As a citizen I really wouldn't care if the police in my city were "caught" doing something like this after a raid. Sometimes these guys are stuck waiting in places for hours at a time, who can blame them for trying to pass the time. #crime

    @TexasJack: Agreed. Too many people are too hard on cops as a whole when in reality, they are essential to maintaining order and helping to prevent (and punish) violent crime in society. Sure, there are some corrupt ones, but they are not the majority. #crime

    @hurpdurp: This is an interesting subject TBH. As someone that has suffered the short end of many bad cops, I have a disposition of hatred and distrust towards the police. But that said, I too have noticed how quickly people are to jump down the throats of cops and crucify them, when many times they did nothing wrong. It feels weird for me to defend those I despise so very much. =S

    @NarooN: 1080p is a pretty big difference from 720p. It would also (presumably) include increased texture resolution, shadow filtering, anti-aliasing, and possibly DX10 or other improved graphical effects.

    I'll let you know in 15 minutes when the Steam version FINALLY unlocks. #callofdutymodernwarfare

    @dowingba: Metroid Prime looked amazing when it came out. That statement still holds of quite well today. And, Metroid Prime came out on the little cube that couldn't. That's the most impressive part. #callofdutymodernwarfare

    @andrewd86: And let me tell you, it's no less jaw dropping the second time through. (I'm playing through it for a second time right now -- actually the Metroid Prime Trilogy version on the Wii, which is an absolute dream with the enhanced Wiimote controls.)

    @dowingba: I recall not being particularly impressed by the game's graphics. Some of the effects were quite nice, particularly the in-helmet view which added greatly to the game's atmosphere. #callofdutymodernwarfare

    @Decoy_Doctorpus: The Wii version adds a few more visual enhancements. The most noticeable, for me, being that whenever there's a bright flash nearby you can see Samus' face reflected in the visor. Which is ridiculously cool. #callofdutymodernwarfare

    One thing this video doesn't make clear is the framerate apparently gets pretty abysmal when the action ramps up. (Disclosure: haven't played it myself.) I'll take muddy textures over an inconsistent framerate any day, but apparently here we get both?

    I love the Wii (I dust it every day, thankyouverymuch), and I love the sheer ambitiousness of this port, but I think the people who will buy this game won't be tuned into the COD franchise. If they were, they'd be playing it on another platform, assuming they can afford it. #callofdutymodernwarfare

    It was actually not as bad as I was thinking it'd be.
    The real question though: Is there a SIGNIFICANT change on the fun factor while playing both?

    Of course more advanced textures, effects, lighting... higher polygon count, shaders, etc etc etc are all good.

    But you know. I'm still playing 5yr old Counter Strike: Source and still having fun with it, even though there are tons of newer FPSs with better graphics, physics and stuff (some of which I also play and have). #callofdutymodernwarfare
