    Not sure if this matters to you kids, but I read those Beatles Rock Band bundles come with Generation 1 peripherals. Most reviews on the site are pretty pissed about it, they assumed since it's a new RB title it should come with newer RB instruments. #weekendcoupons

    I hate this time of year so much. I had nothing to play between Feb (KZ2 and RE5) to November (Uncharted 2) this year.

    Then all of a sudden I have:

    Uncharted 2
    Borderlands
    Dragonage Origins
    Modern Warfare 2
    Left 4 Dead 2

    and the crazy release schedule has just started! #weekendcoupons

    I just have to say: Gamestop's trade in value is HORRIBLE compared to FYE. I traded in NBA 2k10 for PS3 and ODST and got $63.50 in store credit. Yes, the same two games that would get you $40 via the Gamestop deal. You also get 10% off ALL ITEMS (exluding game systems) in the store with their club card ($20/year). As in not just used games, you get 10% off new games, too. (When the deal first came out, you actually got 10% off systems as well, but they have since wised up.)

    No, I don't work for FYE and, no, I'm not a paid shill. It's just such a better deal, I can't stand Gamestop anymore #weekendcoupons

    @Strangelove: Edge card is $15 a year, with a free subscription to Game Informer, which otherwise would cost $15 a year. So if you're getting the mag, the card is basically free.

    And every month or two, you can get an extra $5 per game you trade in. I traded in 3 semi-old games and got $45 towards Rock Band 2 on its release date, and CD Tradepost was only gonna give me $28 for all of them.

    So, not as bad as you make it seem. #weekendcoupons

    The CDs are overpriced, and any non new-release DVD or Blu-Ray is generally too expensive, but the games are totally worth it. #weekendcoupons

    @Strangelove: Just to verify, there are MANY combinations on that list that will give you more than $40, invalidating the deal. I work at GameStop and it happens all the time. If you traded in 2K10 and ODST you'd probably get around 50 dollars.

    Not as good as 63, but better than 40. #weekendcoupons

    @staySICK: Columbia, Missouri. There's like 26 stores now.

    I managed one until I got insurance and my wife got pregnant, I was fired the next day. They didn't wanna pay for her insurance. Made me wanna strangle their vice prez (he's the one who did the firing).

    Then my next job paid double what CDT did, so I guess it worked out. I'm still suing them for refusing to even give me a service letter (my kids lost state insurance because CDT refused to send a letter stating when and why I was fired). #weekendcoupons

    I bought a 360 and used the Giftcard to buy another 360, and then used the Giftcard to buy another one.
    THREE Xbox 360s for $300!!!!

    @Cheesus(Crust): You paid $460 for all three of them.

    $220 for the first one.
    $120 for the second.
    $120 for the third.
    A grand total of "3 360's for $460".
    At$175 for each of them, you'll be getting $525 for all three.

    Subtracting out the $460 you paid, and you're looking at a $65 profit.
    So, roughly the cost of one video game, assuming everything goes perfectly.
    Doesn't really seem to be worth all the effort to me. #weekendcoupons

    $100 for the third.
    -$100 gift card left over(I sold at gate to someone for full price)
    = $300, unless you can't do simple math.

    Then I sell them for $525. Minus the $300 which I used to buy.

    @Outkastprince: It's not worth it. Last year, Amazon price matched every one of the major retailers and I expect them to do it again. At best, Wal-mart might have some items worth going out for, but in that case you could go stand in line, do all your shoppping on Amazon and then walk in the store, get your one wanted item and then leave. Ha!

    After last year, anything I buy will be from Amazon. #weekendcoupons

    Also, Fred Meyer or Kroger, as it's called in some areas of the country, is having a huge sale in their electronics department. 20 percent off all gaming accessories, 30 dollars off anything in department on purchases over 150 bucks, and a few other discounts I'm forgetting. #weekendcoupons

    @ReynaldoRiv: i know this is legal and everything, but doesn't everyone on the interwebs know how to get tv shows in "other ways"?

    viz media even gives you naruto for free, LEGALLY days after its broadcast in japan. its subbed, though, so if you can't read, then i guess you're screwed... but anyways, silly PSN needs to up its game.

    @Noodle-Works: Some ppl don't want to be bothered with finding it. and if they find them, they may not want to convert it if it's not in the right format.

    Also some like it legit. Whatever floats your boat, I'm just pointing out the deals. I was happy for it , I'm sure others will be too.

    These deals can contribute to other things. If they see something like an explosion of pent-up demand they may come up with some sort of ad supported free version a la Hulu. THAT would be killer and Sony, being an entertainment juggernaut, is in the perfect position to offer that. #weekendcoupons
