I'm disappointed that you can't play as a Techmarine or Warlock... Why Just those 3 race/class combo's? Also, new class opportunities: Librarian, Chaplain, Wierdboy, Mad Dok, and Harelquins. Please make these happen, Relic, and I will love you.
@OW-Holmes--Serious Face.: Psh, please. The Empire tried it before, and we kicked their asses right out of our galaxy with the superior bureaucratic powers of the Air Caste.
Why are we calling it DLC? isn't more like a patch? or whatever we used to call these updates on the PC before consoles started trying to nickel and dime anything they could.
Anyways this is pretty cool. I bought it when it first came out but havent played much since. Maybe il start up again
@SFLegend: k rep: It's DLC. It's adding content and you have to download it. If it was a patch it would be fixing something. A patch might accompany it but the new content is DLC.
Sounds good, I just picked up this game today in the THQ pack on sale at Steam. Looking forward to the game. From everything I've heard and tried it's almost as much RPG as RTS, and I can't decide which genre I love more.
@OW-Holmes--Serious Face.:
There were missions originally in the game with NPC guardsmen running around. Same as with DoW really, they're there but it doesn't mean they're playable (yet).
@mbk337: The other solution is to simply remove /gallery from the end of the URL (which is what I did). It still doesn't change that their page linking is bugged. =P
Dawn of War II is phenomenal. I love me some base-building, but this is a different sort of RTS that just nails it. If there were more varied maps and missions, more campaign races and planets, we'd be talking about a GOTY contender.
As it stands, it's a great mix of Company of Heroes and Diablo/Dungeon Siege.
Hurrah! Didn't think you were ever gonna get round to posting this one - game's been out since friday, and we get a review following thursday, Halo Wars isn't even out yet, had a review since tuesday or something.

The very nature of the PC platform makes it impossible for it to die.

I dont know if they were elsewhere in the game, but might I recommend an expansion where you can play as a commissar-hero.

Other than that this looks sort of fun. DoWII made a rather meh RTS but made a decent enough RPG.

I'm on day 31 on Primach difficulty on Typhon - The last story mission I have is, well, the last one.
Biggest issue I have is the fact that the game is about as stable as a penny balanced on a needle tip, held by someone with parkinsons.
Multiplayer is a blast, though. Farseer forever!
