The Patapon BearBrick Vinyl Toy

Artist Rolito, the man behind the stylish graphics of Patapon has produced this vinyl toy based on the upcoming PSP game. The toy, which is part of the custom BearBrick series, will be available in stores on Feb. 26th. There's no word on the price, but given the size and what I've seen of other BearBrick prices it should be around $5.99 or so. But, don't quote me on that.

A Gathering Of Laras

After the release of the first Tomb Raider, it became clear that the anticipation surrounding each sequel was generally focused on which new real-life model could better squeeze herself into the official pair of Lara Croft short shorts. Always looking to outdo the previous Lara's ability to fill out the tight vinyl top, we've generally been more impressed with the successive twenty-something ladies than with the videogames themselves.

For the upcoming release of Tomb Raider: Anniversary, Eidos has dug up most of the previous flesh and blood Lara Croft models, decked them out in slimming black vinyl and flattering lighting, then paid them to stand side-by-side for your gawking pleasure. IGN's got the exclusive pics of the Lara reunion, with one Lara, the semi-successful Rhona Mitra noticeably absent.

Urban vinyl. It's still hot! And these custom 8-inch Qees by UK artist Jeremy Gibbs finally meet the consumer needs of that crossover crowd that loves spending lots on toys and lots on video games. Each will set you back $300 (ouch!), but the cred. Oh, the CRED!

Unfortunately, neither of the Qees function as Game Boys. Bummer! Michael McWhertor
