Like any game that has a yearly deadline, sometimes there might be a lack of polish. We've collected 10 videos of glitches from EA's newest outing (Beware: foul language).

There are some ridiculous sights to see here. Some players fall through the ground, others have the ball thrown right through them. There's even an instance of one guy having his own teammate tackle him! We present to you some of the funniest and strangest glitches in Madden 10, thanks to players who uploaded them to YouTube.

<![CDATA[Bungie Betas Render-To-Video Feature For Halo 3]]> Frustrated by the fact that you can't share your in-game Halo 3 movies without a video capture setup? Bungie is beta-testing a service that will set your clips free, for a price.

When you record a video in Halo 3, it doesn't take up much hard drive space. This is because the video is encoded in game date instead of actual media. When you playback a video, the game renders it in real-time. This is great for sharing your favorite moments with your Xbox Live buddies, but not so good for those wishing to broadcast these moments to the world. Enter Bungie's render-to-video service. First announced in October of last year, the render-to-video service does just what it says. It takes the game data and creates an actual, downloadable video from it. Bungie has wired together a number of rendering systems, lovingly referred to as the Hydra Contraption, which are dedicated to creating such videos for paying customers of their Bungie Pro storage service.

Of course video rendering and file storage aren't free.

On top of the cost of maintaining a Bungie Pro account, those wishing to use the Render-To-Video Feature will have to pay for their files using Bungie Points. Prices and availability are still being determined, but they are leaning towards giving Bungie Pro subscribers a set number of points per month, with high-definition videos costing more to process than standard definition, which certainly makes sense. Users who wish to upload more than their standard point allocation will be able to purchase "point packs".

Bungie is also looking into obtaining enough bandwidth to allow for public video embedding, but for now the service will remain a download only affair.

So how do you get into the beta test of the service? You had to have been a Bungie Pro subscriber as of Monday, May 11th in order to qualify, so needless to say if you aren't in already you probably won't get in. Luckily Bungie only expects the beta test to run until July, so it won't be long before every paying Bungie Pro customer can get in on the action.

<![CDATA[Podcastalooza: The News You May Have Missed]]> Many of you, hopefully most of you, sat down and watched our Very Special Kotaku Holiday Podcast. But how many of you caught the director's uncut of each in-game podcast?

Over the past week we've been running a new unedited in-game podcast each day. Because I know some of you don't have the time or ability to watch the podcasts in their entirety, I had Adam go through them and break out some of what happened in each.

Media Molecule Talks LittleBigPlanet Moderation, New Pitches and How The Found Out About That Recall

Media Molecule's Moo Yu talked to us about the stunning depth of user-generated content found in LittleBigPlanet as he showed off a few examples. Despite the relatively low sales, Yu says that Media Molecule is happy with how the game was received.

He also talked about how new moderation tools and interface design changes are coming to make moderating games easier. Top of the list is feedback to the creator of the level so they know when their game was cut.

Finally, Yu says that Media Molecule continues to support LBP and isn't even sure if they will need to make a LittleBigPlanet 2.

Resistance 2 Podcast: Multiplayer Tweaks Coming

The folks from Insomniac were kind enough to show us that you can indeed make it through an entire level of multiplayer coop if you don't suck at Resistance 2.

While protecting us and gunning down the bad guys they talked about their design philosophy, how the game is different from other shooters and why multiplayer is the future of gaming.

The team also expressed their frustrations over what they believe are reviews written well before the reviewer actually finishes the game.

Call of Duty: World at War: Balancing Historic Realism With Fun

The Treyarch folks talk about their next Call of Duty and whether their really is a rivalry between their studio and Infinity Ward. They also talked about what goes into making a World War II game authentic and what care they take in dealing with what for manyis a sensitive topic.

Finally they touch on their decision to give the game a darker tone this time around and how adding zombies into multiplayer fit into that.

Castle Crashers with Major Nelson

Major Nelson joined us in Castle Crashers to talk about the stability of Xbox Live and make a little bet about whether servers will crash this holiday like they did last holiday.

He also talked about the future plans for New Xbox Live Experience avatars, his opinion of the VGA Awards, and compared Microsoft's paid online experience to Sony's free one.

And what that Zune phone we've been hearing about?

Chet Faliszek Talks Left 4 Dead's Future

Valve writer Chet Faliszek joined us in the PC version of Left 4 Dead to reveal that the zombie game actually does have a back story that no one outside Valve knows. It details the start of the infection. They use this for reference to deliver what we see in the game now. Chet isn't really interested in ever having the player play this story. He's interested on how the world reacts to it, how it falls apart.

After talking about how the story is delivered without a story in the game, Chet drops some news, telling us that new downloadable content is on the way for both the PC, and the Xbox 360. He says it will include versus maps and "new stuff."

Then he ruins it all by pretending he's never heard of Portal 2. Oh Chet.

Home Could Remain in Beta Indefinitely

Home's director Jack Buser invites us to his digital Home to talk about the Playstation 3's free virtual world. Home, he tells us, may actually never leave beta.

New clothes and designer furniture is on the way to Home with some San Francisco stores even making an appearance in the world.

Buser tells us that the most important things in Home are mini-games and dancing... dancing The Robot if I have anything to say about it. He says he considers home a separate entity than the XMB. It's a community, not a replacement. He even likes to be able to just turn on the console and play a game. Game announcements in home and themed areas will be making an appearance soon too.

Finally he says that Sony is looking at forums to see what people want to see in Home.

Jaffe: Gears of War 2 Versus God of War 3, PS3 Versus Wii

Playstation developer David Jaffe solidifies his position as one of Kotaku's favorite developers in this podcast where he discusses what he likes about Gears, how God of War 3 will compare and his take on the Playstation 3's successes and failures in 2008.

Despite being exclusive to Sony, Jaffe even talked about his interest in developing a Wii title.

The famously outspoken developer also talks about the ups and downs of blogging on his own site and how he too missed prom. We almost even got him to spill some beans on his next big project for the Playstation 3, but it sounds like we're going to have to wait for an update on his blog for that.

<![CDATA[New Final Fantasy Agito Trailer for Your Consideration]]> About a week ago we showed you the two trailers Square-Enix finally made available from its DKΣ3713 event way back when. Smashpad scrounged up an Agito trailer, also narrated in Japanese, that missed that cut.

Here's the video, which seems to have been uploaded by a GameSpot user on Friday.

<![CDATA[Robert Duvall Has Wooden Words for Godfather II]]> Robert Duvall is a fine actor, and doesn't need an uncredentialed drama lecture from me or anyone else. But watching him read off his lines in Godfather II ... I'm not feeling it.

In this video, Duvall gives a little insight on how he understood Tom Hagen, the iconic consigliere of the Corleone family. He's the only character voiced by his original actor in this game. But frankly, the Hagen impersonator in the first Godfather video game Duvall sounded like he had a little more heft as Hagen in the first game. Here, I'm not hearing Hagen's icy pragmatism as the family's fixer and advocate. Even when the character issued direct orders, they sounded more like advice. Extremely threatening advice, but you could still take it or leave it. His dialogue with Sen. Geary has none of the menace of the original encounter.

(Edit: Terrible mistake. Duvall did in fact voice Hagen in the original. I still stand by my observation that he's not putting much oomph into it this time, though.)

EA, masters of the sequelized IP, know that there are guys like me who'll buy or play anything in a certain franchise regardless of how warmed-over it may look. I still have high hopes for the Godfather; I'll still play it; I may even beat it. But I'm not exactly fired up.

<![CDATA[Lisa Miskovsky Performs Still Alive For Your Listening/Viewing Pleasure]]> Lisa Miskovsky - the lady behind the Mirror's Edge theme song Still Alive - is apparently a household name in her native Sweden, although has yet to crack the US charts with her musical stylings.

Her 'people' think that Still Alive might be about to change all that and are offering you lot the chance to see the music video for the track and to hear a remix of the song by Teddybears (who are presumably also household names in.. wherever they are from).

A full album of Still Alive remixes is on the way featuring mixes by Junkie XL, Paul Van Dyk, Benny Benassi, and Armand Van Helden. Check out the Teddybears' contribution here.

<![CDATA[Tic Tac Toe In LBP]]>

We were pretty certain the fully functional calculator was the most complex LittleBigPlanet mod around. Surely nobody could top that for sheer intricacy, could they?

Oh Internet, you spoil us. PSN user 'Cristel' has gone and implemented a basic Tic Tac Toe engine, armed only with the LBP level creator, a lot of free time and a catering sized carton of WIN.

Unless we are very much mistaken that counts as actual artificial intelligence - albeit of a simple variety. Hell, in a global thermonuclear war situation this mod could save the world, which translates as some serious modding chops.

<![CDATA[Strong Bad's CGFAP Episode 5 - The Trailer]]>

At this point, Strong Bad and his Cool Game For Attractive People will have split the room already. You either 'get' the gruff-voiced lucha libre fella and his antics or you don't.

For those in the former camp, this trailer will tantalise and intrigue with its subtitle "8-Bit Is Enough" and chiptunish musical sting promising 8-bit era parodies and retro goodness.

For everyone else.. well, there can't be that many of these left. Go play something else.

<![CDATA[Boom Blox Does 8-Bit]]>

LittleBigPlanet may be the stunt-modder's level design palette of choice these days, with some truly spectacular creations, but its not the only game in town.

Speilbergian Wii favourite Boom Blox comes with a nifty level editor too, and someone has spent a lot of time waggling that WiiMote to create Boom Bloxified recreations of 8-bit classic including Galaga, Duck Hunt, Pac-Man and Donkey Kong.

<![CDATA[Gameloft Launches Brothers In Arms: Hour of Heroes For iPhone]]> Gameloft have released Brothers In Arms: Hour Of Heroes for the iPhone, bringing 14 missions over 3 theater campaigns to your pocket.

Control is via a 'fire' icon and a touchable movement circle, that at least looks like it might be a bit more analogue than a fake D-Pad and which changes according to whether you are on foot or in a vehicle. The accelerometer comes into play too as a natural way of lobbing grenades at your foes. (Be sure to hold on tight, lest you lose your precious phone)

During the 3 campaigns in Normandy, Ardennes & Tunisia you will use bazookas, machine guns sniper rifles and grenades, drive a Sherman Tank and a Jeep and die in a hail of bullets. A lot.

<![CDATA[How The Vault Dweller Got His/Her Groove Back - Fallout 3 Machinima]]>

Did you ever wonder what Fallout 3 would be like as a musical? Neither did we.

Nevertheless Fallout 3 - Wasteland Dancin' is a piece of musical theatre machinima made with the PC version of the game and a handful of mods including Umpa's Animation MOD, GoreTweaks, and the ever-popular killableChildrenVer1-376. Music is by Shawn Lee from the Bully soundtrack.

Say what you like about the quality of the animation in Fallout 3 - those double and possibly even triple-jointed lifeless mannequins can really bust some moves.

Van Gogh's De sterrennacht (The Starry Night) is widely hailed as the Dutch post-impressionist's masterpiece - a landscape drawn from memory and a perfect example of the Master's fascination with the nocturnal.

Also, it makes a kick-ass Counterstrike map.

<![CDATA[Zombie Mansion iPhone Shooter Getting Trial By App Store]]> Zombie Mansion - the experimental First Person Shooter for the iPhone we looked at back in October - has been making steady progress and is currently going through the App Store approval process.

The game uses a combination of the accelerometer and on screen soft keys to control the action as you battle your way through a mansion. Full of Zombies. Ok, it's not the most original setting, but as the video playthrough (after the jump) shows it could be fun in an old-school way. Graphically, the game looks part way between Doom and Quake I, with a twist of Hexen,

Assuming all goes well and Apple don't throw a fit, the game should be up on the App Store soon for around $6.99.

<![CDATA[Man Builds Wiimote Theremin, Plays Star Trek Theme]]>

The very definition of 'Neat Hack', Ken Moore shows us his DIY Wiimote Theremin with a virtuoso rendition of a piece traditionally associated with the instrument - the theme from Star Trek.

It's not, in actual fact, a real Theremin. Rather than radio frequency oscillations, Ken uses tiny LEDs on the tips of his fingers (hence the gloves) that trigger the Wiimote's infrared sensors. Still damn cool, though and if nothing else takes my dream project of Theremin Hero one step closer to reality.

<![CDATA[Tectoy Zeebo - 3G Console From Brazil]]>
The Zeebo is a new console from Brazilian outfit Tectoy that uses a 3G SIM card to download games. It is a bit on an odd beast - looking like an unholy marriage of the PS3 and a Wii, and the strictly last-gen games selection (Quake, Crash Bandicoot, etc.) may seem a bit underwhelming.

The Unique Selling Point of games downloaded over-the-air is an attempt to combat Brazil's thriving market in pirated software and the console is being priced to suit a market where huge import costs make legitimate copies of games a tough sell.

Incidentally, Urban Dictionary defines 'Zeebo' as "A mad, often confused, lonely and possibly misunderstood ape from the hill-like village of Menzieshill." Just, you know, FYI.

Tonight on Unlikely Juxtaposition Theatre.. Silvio from HBO's The Sopranos endorses World Of Warcraft: Wrath Of The Lich King. Two great tastes that taste.. a bit odd together. Like Ziti Al Forno and Ogre Mead.

We have mentioned In The Pit before - back when it was a 3-level Xbox 360 demo.

Described as "An 'audio-only' stealth action game", you are a monster hunting down unfortunate victims hurled into your pit by an evil king. It's a Grue simulator, basically.

The demo has been expanded into a full game, which will be one of the NXE Community Games launch titles. Check out the trailer. With your eyes closed.

<![CDATA[Hardware Hackers Make Some DSi Flash Progress]]>

The hardware nerds behind the Acekard flashcart reckon they have made some progress towards getting their card working with the DSi.

The above video shows what appears to be a DSi booting from a flashcart and running some decidedly non-homebrew software. Although it may look as though Nintendo's dream of a piracy-free handheld are over, the team say that releasing a cart using their method would be 'almost impossible' to do commercially.

Of course, a couple of weeks ago people were saying that the above video was impossible too, so we shall see.

<![CDATA[Frets On Fire For The Blind]]>
Although you might expect music based games like Guitar Hero to appeal to visually impaired gamers, they do tend to rely on on-screen cues which makes following a tune difficult/impossible.

Open-source Guitar Hero clone Frets On Fire lends itself to experimentation, so Eelke Folmer - a usability Professor at Nevada Reno University - has mashed it up with a wireless controller and a 'haptic feedback' glove to create the first Guitar Hero clone designed to be played by touch and sound alone.

Sure, it's a niche idea now, but I wouldn't bet against Mad Catz giving it a whirl if they see a buck or two to be made.
