It features
10 competitors called Runners, who are tasked with spending an hour on the run from Hunter squads continuously dispatched throughout a real life game map. The Runners earn money for every minute they survive, but only the one who makes it to the exit first gets to keep it.

Throughout the game, players get various devices to help them out, such as gizmos that make the hunters turn and walk the other way, invisibility glasses, and sonic stunners, that freeze hunters in place for 2 minutes. In essence, it's the best game of tag ever created. The entire first episode is yours to watch at the link below. Tell us what you think!

<![CDATA[Sci Fi Channel Readies GameQuest]]> The Sci Fi Channel has given producers Granada America and World Cyber Games the green light to produce a new competitive gaming television series, tentatively titled GameQuest. The 8 episode series will bring together 12 gamers, who will compete in a variety of elimination events including both video games and game-themed physical challenges for the title of "best all-around gamer", with a prize of $100,000 and trips to World Cyber Games events up for grabs.

"With two out of every three American households playing video games, it's clear that this mainstream phenomenon is a perfect arena for the channel's agenda of broadening the brand while celebrating imagination," Sci Fi channel president Dave Howe said.

What Sci Fi channel president Dave Howe fails to grasp here is that with two out of every three American households playing video games, your audience is busy doing other things.

<![CDATA[Game Head Ends, GameTrailers TV Begins]]> After two and a half years as the best thing to watch if you were home sick on a Friday night without anything better to do, Spike TV's Game Head is ending its run, but fear not for former Kotaku Geoff Keighley. He returns to the network triumphantly in January as the host of GameTrailers TV, and he's bringing along a posse with him. GameTrailers.com's Daniel Kayser and Amanda MacKay will be joining Geoff on the new show, which will feature event coverage, news, and of course, world premier video game trailers.

"I think of it as Game Head on steroids because we'll have more resources and coverage," Keighley says. "It broadens the events we can cover around the country and the world."
Visitors to the GameTrailers website will be able to upload questions before the shows that might be included in the show itself, giving the whole thing a sort of ghetto interactivity that really makes me miss G4TV.com. GameTrailers TV premiers January 25th in that awesome 1am time slot.
